I agree with Alffe, this group is not exclusive and I am one of those people who have not lost someone up close and personal to suicide. I found NT, posted in the Stumble Inn because I have MS and stumbled to this group and have found so much love and support here. Again I agree with Alffe, we do care and we are here for you. I have been a lurker lately, but I had to post and not just peep in and read the posts. This is definitely not an exclusive group. It is an inclusive one, because we give the comfort as well as take it. That's what keeps the circle going.

Junie I am sorry you dont feel like you fit in here . neither did I at first but I come and vent,wonder, come here try to support and I have made some dear dear friends. Not EVERYONE but even if they are not a dear dear friend I would still offer a hug and some supportive words and I have to you also. I just want you to know none of us here are professionals we are all suvivors and we are here to help eachother as best we can, weather I or we have met you before or not. we are trying our best to pull eachother up and keep eachother going through the dark times
and that brings me back to BJ

Junie..... I am guilty of pressing the thanks button; not just for you..... but for everyone here in this SOS Forum, and in other forums as well. I press that button so people know that I've read their post, and I'm thinking of them.

I've been lurking because I have lots going on right now. My health, hubby's health. Parts of Australia are burning and hundreds have losts their lives.... thousands have lost their homes, and millions of animals have died. I am hurting too much to post at the moment. Every time I start typing, I start crying again. I just can't stop, nor can my hubby, nor can thousands of other Australians.

I assume that members who have read their newspapers, or seen the news on TV will understand how I'm feeling. I don't even have to ask, because I just know inside that others are feeling for me. No-one asks why I'm just hitting the thanks button. Nobody wonders why I'm not posting.

I'm sorry Junie if you take pressing that thanks button as something bad. Most of us use it so that the poster knows that we're thinking of them. Please know that sometimes it seems like the right thing to do when you just can't reply for one reason or another. You've now heard why I press that button, but that's just my reason. Everyone has their own reasons and they may even be more complex than my own.

I hope you don't leave but you have to do what you feel is right.

Junie, I also want to remind you that when you post a message on your own profile, very few will see it. If any.

No one gets a notification that you have posted. Members would have to search every member profile daily. It just isn't going to happen.

So if you are upset that you didn't get replies on your profile, the members did absolutly nothing wrong. Nothing at all for you to be upset about.
