Default My trip to the Big Apple

Last Thursday I went to New York City on a bus trip with my church. It was the first time I went without my mom. We used to go every Christmas and shop, see the Christmas show at Radio City Music Hall, watch the skaters in Rockefeller Center, go to mass at Saint Patrick's Cathedral and just spend a day being mother and daughter.

It was hard for me when I got on that bus and saw the empty seat next to me. But they played videos of upcoming trips and it kept my mind busy. They're going to Rome next September and it's definitely on my wish list.

As soon as we got out of the Lincoln Tunnel it got cloudy. We arrived and had an hour to kill before the show so I headed over to the skating rink. My mom and I spent many hours there watching the skaters and drinking Starbucks coffee As I was sitting there, feeling overwhelmed because she wasn't there, it started to snow. I looked up to the sky and said mom I'd knew you'd be here

We saw the Christmas show which was fantastic with the living manger. Then we headed off for lunch at the Marriot Marquis.

This is where I missed the bus and had to take a taxi to Rockefeller Center. Wasn't fun driving in a taxi in NYC. We had 2 hours of shopping and then met at Saint Patrick's Cathedral for 5:30 mass.

This is everyone getting off our bus. There were 2 buses and 65 people.

Times Square and one of those horses that ride around.

The skaters in Rockefeller Center.

This is right by where the Christmas tree is. There was a big facade in front of it so you couldn't see it. It wasn't decorated yet.

The outside Saint Patrick's Cathedral.

This is across the street from where we ate. We didn't see this, I just liked the colors.
