I'm sorry for the pain that you are going through. I hope that it stops hurting soon.
I know what you mean about the Christmas commercials on TV. I won't be seeing my family either. I would want to see them, but they don't want to see me. The Lord has his eyes on all of us,even the sparrow. The Lord will be with us on Christmas BJ. I hope you feel better soon. BF |

(((BJ))) this healing is going to be a bit of a long journey for you. Have you told the nurse about the nausea? They can either change the pain med or give you something for the nausea. You simply must keep that pain under control!!!!! Protracted severe pain can cause depression in and of itself. We won't even get into the whole Holiday deal. This one is going to be a different journey for you. You won't be able to do the things that you would normally do. But, you can cuddle with Hooper, try to watch something positive on TV, like nature shows. How about music? Do you have any easy to do hobbies? Rest is very important. Gosh, I sure do hope that infection clears....you are in my prayers dear one....
The year I had my neck fusion, I was not able to 'do' anything for Christmas...no tree, no decorations, no gifts, ....I simply was not able. I was forced into thinking more about what Christmas is......hard to do when the world is trying to show you another view....besides, we like the distraction....I am trying to offer ideas that may help you get through this... (((BJ))) ...keep us updated when you can....

((BJ)) Do ask about something to help with the tummy. They have meds to help with that as far as I know.
Owie, owie, you poor baby. But cuddling with Hooper sounds wonderful. You had a very traumatic injury and any surgery is a trauma to your body. This will take awhile to heal. Your pain is perfectly normal. That infection though...whew, girl, I'm glad you have a nurse to help with this. Change those channels to something that makes you feel better!

Hello BJ!!
Oh my goodness, how dare this happen to you!!!!!! Please know that I too join SOOOOO many others who are thinking of you and praying for a full and healthy recovery. Remember to gently remind yourself that this is a temporary situation and you will heal from your injuries. As you know positive thinking makes our spirit stronger and doesn't allow the negative bugs to hang around too long ~'.'~ A few simple remedies that may help with the medication induced nausea... Don't take it on an empty stomach. Sipping room temperature ginger ale. Hot tea of ginger or peppermint. The B vitamins help also. Munchng on dry crackers. Avoid dairy or spicy foods. The homeopathic remedy of Arnica pellets taken under the tongue every few hours may be helpful with the pain and swelling of your knee as well as your other injuries. It is also safe to take if you are on other meds. Is there someone who is helping you with food and so forth? If not, perhaps the nurse could recommend someone? Please take all of our hugs and wrap them around you as you go through this bumpy journey. You are never alone as there is always someone thinking of you and sending you their love and spiritual support......... ~'.'~ Many hugs and well wishes coming your way..... always and always!!
