Default Interesting article about Nostalgia

I came across this just now in the News section

The Psychology Of Nostalgia
Article Date: 15 Dec 2008

The Psychology Of Nostalgia

<snip>The authors note that "nostalgia is now emerging as a fundamental human strength". They conclude that "nostalgia is uniquely positioned to offer integrative insights across such areas of psychology as memory, emotion, the self and relationships. Nostalgia has a long past and an exciting future."<snip>

Interesting. That never occurred to me.

This word may have evolved into a different slant pertaining to that subject.

When "Happy days" came on television in the mid 70's,people where talking about Nostalgia,as if it where the good old days. So it was a TV show about the 1950's.

I'm just using the TV program "Happy Days" as a example.

I love the good old days. BF

A fundamental human strength, hmmmm. It's nice to think of it that way. I imagine the nostalgia gets stronger as we age. And I'm just a spring chicken.
