I've only had 1 family member, that I know of, kill himself. The others were friends.
What amazes me is that when I was in so much pain I still was making a plan. AND the plan even involved doing it in a way that it would look like an accident...because I wanted my daughter to get my insurance money. My daughter! Planning to bail even though I loved/love her with every breath that I take.

Curious minds want to know...what was the revelation? (but only if you want to tell us.)

When you make a new post to a thread, it "bumps" it back to the top of the page. Makes it the first thread. You can do this with old posts that are on other pages, besides page 1. Like Alffe did. At the very bottom of the regular page of SOS, you wil see where it says page 1 and little boxes of numbers. That is where the older threads are. Hi Barbo!

My BIL had duty this weekend...a guy in his unit killed himself a few days ago. The man had some issues with alcohol and a few other things obviously...he also had three children.
In the last two months this is the third death I know of from suicide. This past week a man I've known most of my life took his life. He worked at the local funeral home and has for years and years. He was always so nice and helpful to others when a loved one was in his care. He was very respectful and was highly respected in turn, he gave warmth and caring to the many that walked through those doors. His family now needs what he gave to so many over the years. I was told he recently was diagnosed with Alzheimer's...his family will now spend days upon days with the questions left unanswered. |
