thank you all for wishing my dear moss a happy birthday! :)

We just got back from lunch where we shared a "roasted porkette" panini sammach and "crab lasagna"

the porkette is tender pork loins that are slowly roasted (like a prime rib) in a wooden oven, then thinly sliced like ham slices. It is then topped with poached pears and caramelized onions and the panini is made from scratch at the restaurant every morning and grilled over brick oven and slightly spreaded with gorgonzola cheese. The bread has a crunchy yet melt in your mouth texture while the slightly crisp and crunchy pears complimented with the caramelized onions while the earthy aroma of the pork slices gently melted in our mouths...

The crab lasagna, well, it's big blue crab lumps in a seafood marinara sauce (and didn't get any on my shirt, this time. LOL) the plated on top of bernaise sauce with dashes of caramel balasamic glaze served with artichoke salad as a side dish. The lumps are cooked to perfection, not overly cooked like most places and is layered with mascarpone cheese. The lasagna pasta is home made as well and isn't too thick nor doughy. There were some very subtle herbs and spices that complimented it quite well...

btw, we were debating this, I told da moss that it is called artichoke is because "Artie, was choking this vegetable one day over his chest cause he didn't like to eat it and then he gagged"

I had grown to like artichoke heart over the years...(with spinach dip..)

now, moss is blissfully propped up on our zero gravity chair and watching a chick flick. :)

so I can fully embrace

the special person is a gift that has given to me

by some divine powers above...
