Thank you every one for your expressions of love, and for your support.

Christmas has been a time of mixed emotions for me, and to be honest I really wasn't able to get too excited about the holidays this year.

As you are now aware I found about about the death of a very old, but very dear friend, on Christmas Eve... and because he died a while back .... there is no funeral for me to go to... so that I can have closure. I have to do it all by myself, and it's just not happening yet. It will happen, but it may take a little while.

The last time a close friend passed and I wasn't able to say goodbye at the time (she passed away in a different state, and we just could not travel at the time), DH and I went to church and had our own private service. I think I may need to do that again so that I can finally let go.

At the moment I'm still in that grieving state when any mention of him, our memories or even death ... sets me off into a barage of tears again, but I wanted to say thank you again to everyone,and let you know that I am doing OK!

I am sorry you had to lose your friend, especially during the holidays when everything is supposed to be happy
