Default Prayer For the New Year

I don't have anything profound to say, or to put here from someone else. I don't have a fancy piece of poetry, or anything special to offer. I just have a strong feeling of connection with all my friends here. And I wish so much for the very best for everyone of us. Emotions are sometimes very hard to put into words. And I feel a bit silly even trying to do it. And yet, I feel that I must. I don't want something to happen down the road, and regret never having said it. So I say it now.

Everyone of you is precious. You are each precious to me. You each add something very special to my life. And I care. My prayer is that each of us will find the strength necessary to be as healthy and as happy as is possible. That we will each have the strength to do our best, whatever that 'best' is. And be content with it. To find a place of deep peace within the wellspring of our Spirits. That each of us will soar, and help others to soar as well. That we can recognize when we need mending, and allow that. Ok, I just want to tell you how much I love you all. Happy New Year....may it bring us all greater love...and deeper peace....

Mistiis, what you wrote was so eloquent. I read it to my Olhipie and he was right there with what you wrote.

I told him a few days ago that I wanted to make each day the best day I’ve had so far…to take care of me more than I usually do. I usually spend most all my time caring for everyone else and none for me. Yesterday I told everyone that I was going to lie on my bed and watch a little TV and doze in and out of consciousness. I did and it felt good. Today I went to the doctor for me, it felt good. Ya, know…my family didn’t even miss me while I was taking care of me so it is going to be ok taking care of me!

When you talk about needing to mend, and allowing it to happen. My honey…Olhipie, bought me a book for Christmas titled “Broken Things to Mend.” What a coincidence.

Thank you for your wise words. They have brought me great joy and comfort. I love my NT family…especially my SOS family.

May we all try to do more for us and if doing for us helps us to better assist those we love with their needs then do that also.

Love you all!!!

I just wanted to say thank you Misty for your lovely poem.

I've been going through a rather difficult time recently, and you've no idea what your poem meant to me.

I'm not up to it yet but when things pick up for me, I'll be back to explain what's been going on in my life.

Sorry for going off topic here Mistiis, but for those who have been wondering .... my hubby is a bit better and I thank you all for your support.

That was beautiful, Miistis. More than profound, my friend. You've seen something, haven't you? I hope that I'm so lucky.
