Default Me, myself and i

Me myself and I..............[PARENT ADULT CHILD]

Why would you want to kill yourself?
Pull yourself together, wipe away those tears
You have everything to live for
Be grateful you have so much more than others
You are a selfish thoughtless person
Just grow up.

My life is in turmoil at this moment in time
I have no strength to stand tall or cease my crying
What I have is not relieving me of my thoughts
I cannot see past my front door, and feel empty
Only I can feel this inner pain, it is my distress.
Age is immaterial

I am so hopeless why! Can no one see this?
I try to be strong, but I’m weak, and so sad
I’ve got nothing! or no one.
Others have friends and close ones, I have nothing,
No one really cares about me!
I just want my mum!!!!!
by David

We all live in these three states of mind, constantly towing and froing with who we are, what we were, and what we have been brought up to believe.

The parent in us can be critical domineering and austere.

The Adult is the true self. The ‘you’ living the life today.........as it is

The child wants safety of the past, affection care and love, but as a child not as an adult.

The three egos can converge with each other as well.

Parent/Adult= you live the current life you have through the experiences of those who raised you along with living their morals and ambiguity.

Adult/Child= you live the current life, awaiting criticism, chastisement, never entering into your own choice...in case it upsets the equilibrium you are surrounded by.

Parent/Child= you live a current life of confusion, wanting to have morals and values but yet inside you want to scream and break free of the chains that make you staid.

If we live life as a conscious Adult we answer only to ourself......

In a previous thread the question was posed

ANY REGRETS?

yes a few..............i lived a religious childhood...............after leaving the Royal Navy in the early eighties I verged on becoming a Pentecostal Pastor,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,[my parents freaked out as i was christened a Catholic]

And now twenty years on....... i still attend no church [have no defined belief] and feel a touch lost at times...Yet i believe in the human spirit and

inner resolve

The Pope visited the UK last week [thursday-sunday]

one image stays in my mind

An old lady at a sheltered accomodation run by the 'Little sisters of the cross'

She among the people reaching out to touch the pope .........did so and looked scared to death and asked for a blessing [obviously unwell and in pain]

The Pope not only held her hand but blessed her forehead [he never did this to anyone else]............this lady looked shocked and in awe

and i shed a tear........................[so nice to see love in what ever form transfered in hope]

David, I know that God's love flows through you - and I know you have learned that God's love especially flows out of us in the broken places in our lives.

Oh to see ourselves as others see us!

I feel no need for organized religion but am a very spiritual person. I respect all religions.

to my dear wife

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsHK_7VXs2E

MY BEST GIRL
I'm gonna tell my friends about you
Tell them about the things that you do to me
Tell them you're my best girl and best you'll always be
Tell them you're everything that's good so good to me
I want to be always close to you
To give a helping hand if ever you're in need
I want to be always close to you
Don't have to try you out for size
You fit my heart so comfortable and warm
The only one I have no doubt no fear about
Without you what would my life be
I want to be always close to you
To give a helping hand if ever you're in need
I want to be always so close to you
I want to be always close to you
To give a helping hand if ever you're in need
I want to be always close to you
Don't have to try you out for size
You fit my heart so comfortable and warm
The only one I have no doubt no fear about
Without you what would my life be
Without you what would my life be
Tell them you're my best girl and best you'll always be
Tell them you're my best girl and best you'll always be
Tell them you're my best girl and best you'll always be
Tell them you're my best girl and best you'll always be
