Seeing as most of our wonders would fit better into a social forum than a serious type forum, let's leave the wonders here in the social thread for now. We can always reassess at a later date.

I like Moi's story about the sunroom. :hug: How about the "Sunshine Inn?"

Harbor Lights

The TWILIGHT ZONE

The hall of Mirrors

The Tanning room [where the sunshine is free and plentiful]

Lara 03-06-2009 06:17 AM

Sunshine Inn sounds good to me. :)

Better than having people from Mars not understanding the code. *DOH What on earth was I thinking? lol

We all need a little ray of sunshine in our days. Beats the mozzies at sundown that's for sure. ;)

Doody 03-06-2009 10:12 AM

Chit and Giggles, ROFL.

I liked several, most especially a few Curious mentioned.

But I think since we were moved in here away from the serious posts that the title should be kept light!

I kinda liked the Tiki Hut idea and Treehouse, and Lifeboat. Cruisin? Most especially since this started while the Mother of our forum dared to be on vacation. :D

I also think using SOS in the title would be fine too.

Wonder Inn sounds perfect to me. Then we could be like the big kids with the Stumble Inn. :D We do do a lot of wonderin, for sure. Bet we could come up with a nice graphic too!

Just keep it lite please? This is where us jokers will go (and I'm not mentionin any names **COUGH**) :D

Burntmarshmallow 03-06-2009 11:10 AM

well speaking just for myself... I am not for having INN as part of title cus to me it is copy catting from the M.S. forum...
and we all know we can be creative and original ;)
the light keepers eh doody :)

So when are we going to have a list to vote from?? next week maybe??

who moi 03-06-2009 12:48 PM

I like Harbour (english spelling? LOL) Lights

Sunshine Inn is now my very favorite. It rolls off the tongue and has a nice way about it...

that would be my vote. :)

Lara, think we should get out the close encounter of the 3rd kind code? LOL ;)

I agree with doody, let's keep it light (and what was that cough about?? LMAO...)

Mallowhaid, I know what you mean, but I still like Sunshine Inn for myself...
but whatever the poll chooses...

now, my question is, with all these names out, how do we narrow them down?

Oh, wait! I know! We'll have "The SOS Subforum Name IDOL!!" Where we'll narrow it down to the top 12!! :thud:

(I vote David to be Simon....ROFL...........)

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
since we're having fun...here are more whacky suggestions...just for fun...LOLOL
-Humor, interjected
-don't look (or Peek) in here!
-da Zoo (since we've got quite a menagerie of animules in here)
-what's with all these chits??
-But We Digress
-Oh Joy, another subforum
-hidden treasures
-no, really, all the best smileys are in here
My Mom used to say something along those lines, "Life is a bowl of cherries: some are good and some are rotten!"
I want it to have a safe-sounding name that is inviting. Soft Shoulders, hehe!
BlueMajo 03-07-2009 03:03 PM
Right, when are we voting !?
Curious 03-07-2009 03:20 PM
I'll go through the thread and make a poll on Monday. :D
who moi 03-07-2009 04:14 PM
I have a suggestion. LOL
What if we make a master list. Then have everybody that's interested pick out three of their favorites.
Those that have cross-overs, we'll put them in the safe pile.
And have a few wild card slots.
Narrow it down to the top 12 and then vote.
OK, I really don't watch reality TV shows, ya know? LOLOLOL
:thud:
Curious 03-07-2009 04:15 PM
Great idea. Since it was yours..you get to do it. :p
but I am lazy....you do it...you're my sista...
there are times i really laugh at someones comment or i agree with their view ..............i dont alaways have time to post stating this...
and some times the thanks button does not quite have the same effect
any chance neuro-talk could have additional caption buttons along with the thanks button...this way MOI will know when i laugh out loud...........& Curious will know when i fall over laughing...............and agrreing with a view often needs no reply it just needs acknowledgement...........
bit late ..............sort of rambling..........but an aknowledgement button thingy majiggy would be good..............imho
as for names....tear soup is a good one [but hints of serious stuff/leave that for SOS....BUT the soup bowl is kinda neat as i could chat too friends over a bowl of warm soup lmao
We can only add what is built into the software. They do keep adding things and DocJohn updates often. So who knows what will be next. :D
David, that reminds me of Garbage Pail Punch. Everyone brings something and dumps it in.
Do they make a soup or stew like that? Hmmmm?
yeah woman, Belgium. LOL Isn't it like an awesome awesome place? The olde country is simply breath taking...the Belgium fries with cremes....yes, those thick cut fries in those big ole pots...LOL Gosh, talk about heart attack waiting to happen but oh so good...
Ratatouille the food, not the rat although I love that rat also....
the Ratatouille I had was soup based (not very soupie but enough liquid)
cooked down and as you know, they call it peasant food...not like they showed it in the movies. LOL I had it with crusty french bread that crunched to the touch and you can hear the air popping as you broke the bread...
and I had a piece of sausage, I think it was a type of pudding. With blood in the center. LOL (the blood is half cooked and became sauce for the pudding(sausage) as you cut into it)
it was really good....gosh, I am making myself hungry....
David,
Maybe I can attempt to try answer your questions. I did a source check and Neurotalk is powered by "V bulletin boards"
V bulletin is a type of message board company. They create these forums and its formats and people that are interested in starting forums go and purchase them.
In this case I think Doc purchased(really, leased) the format from V Bulletin.
for example, if you want to start a forum called "Soupie world" you can go and subscribe and pay for a forum of your very own which you'll then become the admin and run the forum.
As admin and mods, they can create forums and such. But when it comes to the softwares, V Bulletin usually have to be the ones to supply those.
two different entities.
But I think if you go to the V Bulletin people and state your case, you can make a suggestion to them. If you'd like. I will go and help you state your case also (or anyone else, for that matter. LOL)
here is the actual V Bulletin's main site:
http://www.vbulletin.com/
this is their customer support
http://www.vbulletin.com/contact.php
I would suspect that since we are NOT the customer(where Doc john is the actual customer) that all we can do is email them.
Perhaps we can create a generic one and have people sign it (like a petition) and then have it sent to them through one of us?
:)
