Hi Koala, It is such a great thing you do~keeping track of people in the night, so they don't get lost. I hardly ever write here, but I always glance up at it and am grateful it is available in case I ever "get a little worse."

Hi there GmaSue... you caught me having dinner, but I'm finished now!

How are you?

Are you having a tough time sleeping tonight? Please know that I'm here for you you if you need to talk. Is there anything in particular keeping you awake?

Default Hot kitty kat

Hi Koala!

I am starting to wind down thank heavens, but my bedroom is hot and my cat insists on snuggling. I can't explain the problem to her though Mama cats push their little ones away sometimes. Sooooo I've been watching Joan Rivers on QVC. Have a good day!

Are you still there Barbo? Are you OK?

Sorry I'm a bit late getting back to you, but I was out in the garden....sorry! Even though it's still winter here in Oz, we had sunshine today. That being the case, hubby and I took the opportunity to get out in the garden for a while. We pulled heaps of weeds and swept up lots of fallen winter leaves. Hubby even dug over the vegetable patch so it would be ready for planting over the next few weeks.

He's already planted some portatoes and the first of them are up. We've got all the spring bubs emerging as well. There's daffodils and jonquils and even some that I call eggs & bacon.

We walked to the shop a little while back and one of my neighbours has snowdrops in their garden. I haven't seen snowdrops in years.

Gosh I love spring!

As a cat lover I understand about the cats and the heat....
And....I forgot to mention the movie that you were watching. My DH and I love to watch old movies, and Joan Rivers is a favourite of my hubby's. He really loves all old movies, no matter who stars in them. At present he's watching an old 1954 movie with Burt Lancaster in it.

Hi Koala and Barbo and everyone else who is lying awake...(waves)
I remember when I was a kid and would hear my mom and other "old" people talking about not being able to go to sleep. I would always think how crazy that sounded. Just put your head on the pillow and close your eyes! Sleep! No problem! lol

Not easy, is it? I find now that I have to read for a bit until my eyes get tired enough to sleep.

How are you doing GmaSue?

Default Sleepless at SOS

Dear friends at SOS.

The Sleepless at SOS thread up above in the stickies, has not been used since May 10th, 2009. That's getting close to a whole year so I'm now wondering what to do about it.

For those who may not know, I started the thread quite some time ago to provide a safe haven for anyone awake in the middle of the night..... for those who couldn't sleep and needed to talk.

I live in a different time zone to most so am often online when every-one else is sleeping. A quick note in the thread would always alert me, and I would keep the member company until they no longer needed my services.

Many times I posted that the thread was there for everyone to use. I do not need to be around for others to chat between themselves. The thread belongs to all! We can all support each other.

So now we need to ask the question of what to do about the thread. Do the majority want to keep it open, or is it time for it to fade away into the distance and get filed in the archives of life?

I could do a poll but I'd really appreciate it if you could please let me know if you'll start using it again if we keep it open, or whether you think the thread is no longer relevant and should be closed.

If you decide to keep it open, please remember that I can't always be there, especially at the moment with a broken arm, but as I said before.... anyone can use the thread.
