I'm not a movie person because my illness prevents me sitting still at cinemas long enough to watch a feature film (I get spasms and the twitches become painful after a short time), and my concentration period is now so short that I can no longer enjoy anything at movie length.

I do watch some TV, although not a lot..... I'd rather read

I like a lot of the English comedies. I enjoy Faulty Towers and I also enjoy another called The Vicar of Dibley.

There are many episodes of that one available on UTube, and although it's hard to choose a favourite, the Christmas nativity was fun.

I can't handle it very often either Anne. I don't think any of these are new releases.

Renting works best for me. I can take breaks or just get up and walk around and watch.

We do have a good collection of movies. My vcr works great and videos of these old funny movies can be found a $1 or less.

Me too! I think our most expensive DVD is one that I bought for our DGS. I paid $9:95 for that one because it was a classic. I lashed out with no regard to the expense!

As for DH and I , I sometimes pick up a DVD on sale for $1 or $2. They're usually really old, but then.... so am I!

Thanks for the Vicar of Dibley link Anne. Barbo's daughter just loved that show and it was fun to look at some of them again.

Where did vini disappear to?.....*grin

I'm sure vini will check back. She may not find it so easy to post too often.

I love a lot of tv comedy, but movies, well I was trying to think of a movie I was watching one night here late last year and I was laughing so loudly (and I live on my own) that I thought the neighbour might think it was odd. lol

I looked it up and it was Santa Clause 2.

I laugh out loud at Fawlty Towers and Red Dwarf and a whole lot of other tv shows, but I just can't really think of any really hilarious movies except for the Santa Clause 2 that I mentioned.

I never go to the movies anymore. It's impossible sadly. I love getting recommendations for movies/dvds that I can hire out though.

That sounds and looks a little like the "House of Wax". lol It's a spoof I take it?

Reminds me a little of "The Attack of The Killer Tomatoes".

Apparently I was supposed to find the Scream movies funny too, but I laughed at bits and screamed at other bits. My daughter thought it was all very cool and funny at the time and wasn't scared at all. I kept screaming.

I never tried to watch any of the Scream movies cause I knew they'd scare me.
