we just got a phone call this morning...get this:

we are supposed to pick up the kids this weekend (will be gone for a week)

the dead beat father decided that he will not sign the release papers for them to leave the state. He's lawyered up.

The case worker called us to let us know. We now either have to reschedule, or work out something with the father, or let the court decide (but that will mean we have to bring the kids back if it is not settled within 30 days and have a feeling his lawyer will drag this on)

can you tell I am PO'ed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!



moss called me from work and I could hear the tears in her voice...

not a good day to be messing with the moi's...

so today, I am going to use my good hand and if someone becomes rude or is a jerk to anybody today, they'll get pimp slapped by moi...

I am getting ready to call the case worker...but this is best I can tell so far...

the father didn't sign the paper during the final court hearing, he stormed out of the room. No one expected him to show up because he hadn't shown any signs of interest up til that point.


What we're told today, is that he WILL be terminated of his parental rights. HOWEVER, because of the timing, it won't happen until MAY (or June)

that means that we'll have to either postpone our trip or wait til May. These kids already know that we're coming to get them in the next few days, we are NOT going to disappoint them.

But who has the time and money to travel 800 miles back and forth these days. We've done these trips more than 10 times in the past year or so...we're tapped!!

anyways, I think the end result will be us getting the kids. But just never for sure until the very end, ya know??

Seems at every turn in all of this, something always happens...it is either the twilight zone or it is just our luck...

but make no mistake about it...we're fighting it til the end...until two precious cute kids are in our kitchen singing the witch doctor again!!

OK, it's hard to see the puter screen without my eyes hurting...hard to type with sunglasses on...

I hope I can just leave a BIG LONG hugs for everyone here and please forgive me if I disappear for awhile...

As a father who had his ex jump ship out of the blue and take his sons to another state, I can see his point.

BUT! As a good Dad and a decent human being that's where the similarities end. No 11th hour decisions with me. Push someone I care about and you've pushed me. And I push back.

I am so sorry to hear this big guy. And no, I'm not being ignorant and selfish and only referring to getting to meet you and the Mrs. I spent a night in jail and lived through this pain for 3 months (including a Christmas ) until they came back.

I wish so much I could get out of this wheelchair and act as your muscle for this mission.

Do you and the kids actually have to be there for any hearing? Can you be repesented by counsel or the social worker?

He may just pull a no show. Also citing how he acted in court before, that is not something the kids should be subjected to. Emotional trauma.

Can this be worked out outside of court? Him getting some type of supervised visits?

Have you tried changing the NT skin to a not so bright one? Your pupils aren't dialated are they?

Prayers answered! I got a call yesterday morning that they got an emergency hearing on Mondy that will invountarily terminate his parental rights. Unless the judge can be convinced he is a capable father, it is only a formality - so they say. Then....we just get through the other hearing Wednesday (where they see if Jaidon can testify against the foster mother that clobbered him)....and we are then HOME FREE!!!

Thanks for your prayer and positive thoughts....I guess we are going to be parents!!!
