Dr House played the dad. He wasn't scruffy, very bookwormish.

Hugh Lory..or Laury.

hehehe..I bet she does.

OH! I thought you where in Canada. I stand corrected.

Dr House is a BAD Boy,but he is so funny. It's just a TV program. He plays the part of a genious Doctor, with no bed side manner, but he solves all of these hard medical cases.

He's definity not a Marcus Welby,or Dr. Gannon(Chad Everett)of Medical Center. He's also not a Dr.Kildare,Ben Casey,or like anyone who was on"The Bold Ones". He's more of a Hawkeye Pierce, but you have to add a little rudeness, and arrogence. LOL LOL LOL BF

Yeah. We are stuck in the 21st century, with tons of ever increasing complicated technology, new things, and new everything. I liked it at first, but now I want it to slow the heck down.

Stop the world,I want to get off. BF LOL

So many times, I have followed a "Dr. Welby" out of a room lined with smiling family members-only to watch him write orders for the patient on the level of a med student. And on the flip side, have held sobbing parents after a "Dr. House" encounter-knowing that he was their child's best hope for a brilliant diagnosis or treatment.

I don't watch it because I don't like him either. Being around his toxic personality on a daily basis would be awful. I have chronic pain as well but don't treat people in my life like that. But, it's just a show, just not one of my favorites.

I love House and I love Hugh Laurie...
I had a doctor like House and, as a rule, he didn't see patients. He said his bedside manner was terrible. But his platitude spitting, condescending blob of a partner annoyed me more. "How are we this morning?" "Oh, we don't hurt that badly, do we?" "Oh, we know this is mostly in our minds, don't we?"
We kicked him out of our room. We had a much easier time with the doctor who said "Do this or you're gonna die... and that would look bad on my stat sheet."
Alffe...look at Blackadder. Or youtube "A Bit Of Fry and Laurie" Or here's a specific one...
search Hugh Laurie Mystery.
It's a song he wrote and performed on Inside the Actor's Studio. It's hilarious.

British humor...( or humour to the Brits)...I love it.

PS... I am feeling a bit better these days..thanks
