I posted this in the BP forum but wanted to share with you here too I've been working all weekend in my yard trying to brighten it up. It's still a work in process though.
These are from the front of my house. This is some of what I planted this weekend, begonias and marigolds. This is the back of my yard. I have to get some flowers for this area next weekend. I have a lot of these animals around that light up. This is the "garden" angel my mom gave me before she passed away

Your yard looks lovely, BJ. Love your garden angel. In that first pic, are those hostas?

Thank you BJ...that was fun to see! A yard that tidy is a lot of work! Is that a rose of sharon bush in back of the angel statue? Ours is just now starting to get leaves. And your raised bed reminds me of my herb garden..mine is a little bigger and has tomotoes, cukes and peppers in addition to the herbs. I'll see if Mr.Alffe will take some pictures.
I was looking for a picture of what you built for the ferels.....*grin

Yes they are hostas Twink. I love them, they're so easy to take care of. It's a lot of work keeping it neat but I wouldn't have it any other way. I just had 2 tons of red tipple laid down because they washed away. I forgot to post this one that shows my frog fountain with the dancing frogs in the background. I can't wait to see yours Alffe.
Oops I forgot all about the feral condo. I found this on the internet and I think it was only about $60 but the shipping was $45. So I had some help cutting the wood and insulating it but I did paint it. There's two ways to get in and out. And there's a second floor where I put hay for them. Of course they're not using it now since it's warm. This is one of the ferals I feed. I have to pick their bowl up when Hooper's outside. So they just lounge on the chair and sun bathe. That is a rose of Sharon Alffe. Don't you remember me sitting out there for days? It doesn't bloom until July but it's been doing so well these last couple of years.

I remember it very well...all those mosquito bites!! Just wasn't sure that bush was the Rose of Sharon. And I love the feral house!! How many do you think you are feeding in the winter...I suppose it changes all the time.
Ok...off to the dr. here. Have a great day!!

I feel SO strange!!! Just yesterday I had you on my mind a lot BJ! In fact I was going to post about it today and voila...here's your thread!
Probably had you on my mind so much because I worked hard in my garden this weekend too. And when I looked at my angel with the Rose of Sharon you immediately came to mind. I remembered vividly your meltdown sitting outside for hours. You seem so much better lately. I can't begin to tell you how nice it has been to see you posting and sharing! Your yard is beautiful! I wish you could see my hostas. Good grief, there are 2 that are so humongous I'm going to have to dig some of them away because they are crowding plants around them. But they are so pretty. I love hostas. I love all your statues! Your yard is gorgeous!
