My mom's mom has been steadily declining for the last two years,and she is nearing the end of her life.Mom is calling hospice tomorrow,and when God calls her home..that'll be it.

I am such a mess right now.I can't really think straight,so,if I sound a little sad in my postings for awhile you'll know the reason.

I know what that means... I have already lost my 4 granpas and, well, it hurts... So, you are in my thoughts.

(((((Kristin))))) I hope that you live close enough to your gramma to share this time with her. I know how sad it is to imagine ever letting her go... and the time you have together will be all the more precious.

If you are both able, why not look at old photographs and tell stories together.

I am sorry you are being called upon to cope with the impending earthly loss of your grandmother. It's so hard to think about losing a loved one from this life. She obviously means so very much to you!

I hope you and she will find a way to keep a positive connection alive... always!

I am honored to have the opportunity to pray for you, your grandmother, your mother, your family. This is a very trying, and an incredibly important, time for each (and for all).

Holy, Holy God, we look to you for help in this time of need. Loss of a loved one is one of life's most difficult event to deal with, but yes, we must. This grandmother's purpose of life is coming to a close, we ask that You greet her with open arms for her to join all of the Saints that have gone before us. Grant her a peaceful journey.

Our Christ, we ask that you send your warm comforting love to those that will be left here on earth. Fill these folks with the love that can only come from you. Stretch open Your powerful hands and hold them close for your strength to be felt in this time of difficulty.

And may the Holy Spirit provide all of you with peace to fill this void that will come. Remind these your children of all the precious memories of the lives that once were together. Calm their fears and wipe their tears. Fill them with your presence to sustain them during the days ahead.
