-I have no friends because my character ir weird...

-I dont go out to dance because all my body hurts...

-I hate to go shopping clothes because Im fat and huge like a pig....

-I dont drive because I have visual problems and severe pain in my wrists...

-I stay in bed all day during weekends....



Sorry, Im feeling so frustrated right now... Had a sad day... a borong one, when I start thinking more than I should...

Im so worried about my future... with all these problems, who would like to take care of me ? I mean, to be with me ?

No Blue, you're not like other girls. Not one of us is like the other girls. We are our own unique selves and are worthy of loving our selves.
We must learn to live and love what we are born with, eventually, hopefully, with an attitude of gratitude.

I don't "know you" in real life but in this forum family I certainly see you differently than you see yourself. You have a wonderful sense of humor, an artistic bent, and you are most supportive when others are in need.

Do you like to read? If you're spending your weekends in bed, take a stack of books with you. So what if you're fat! It's a fat world anymore..if it bothers you, go on a diet but if you're like me you find comfort in food.

so well said alffe..... i still find me comparing myself to others. Its a vicious cycle. There will always be those who have more money, or who are thinner or have a nicer home than what we have.
Blue you are a wonderful person and very supportive of others....I'm proud to say that you are my friend.... We have to learn to love ourselves for who we are. We all have different crosses to bear in life. We all have things that are wrong with us, but they dont define who we are.... I"ve learned that from my son who has tourette syndrome....

Don't look at all of your problems all at once (like I do ). Deal with just one thing at a time so you aren't overwhelmed.

You know there was an Oprah show, I don't know how long ago...a lady at work told me about it. It was about the top ??? things to do to make your life healthy, happy and live longer. Her #1 on the list was meditation.

I never thought that I could do that until I was given the tapes of one wonderful psychotherapist who is in Boulder. But it works if you try it. Our minds get so boggled that we really need to bring clarity into our lives now and again.

You are such a wonderful person here at these forums. I have been so impressed with you from day one of your arrival here and we are all so lucky to have you in our lives.

But I also understand just how awful depression is, believe me I do. It can really get you down...lower than low. When you're in this bind, remember to baby yourself.

YOU COULD BE MY TWIN, except that I stay in bed most of the week. Possibly you are still functional enough to be able to work, making weekends the only time you can stay in bed? If so, my congratulations. I will not have anyone to take care of me. And financial problems are, well, very problematic. Don't be sorry about venting. I am not computer literate, really, but as long as I am here, you can count on me to listen. An elderly next-door neighbor has been asking me to Sr. Citizens Dances, because they are trying to bring in more money to pay the bands. What a nightmare! I am too weak to dance, and if I wasn't, I still wouldn't do the 2-step. All around me, people are saying, "Isn't this FUN?" I'm agreeing out of courtesy but am thinking, "Are you mad?" When actually it's me that's mad and too depressed to be interested in anything. This chat forum has helped me more than anything. Hope to hear from you again, Blue. billie bluecat

I'm not like other girls either. Never have been. I, too, sleep way to much, don't enjoy going to dances, or Wal mart, or nothing. I don't like my appearance at all, and I'm more than twice your age, so mine is really bad.
