Why in a room, do I still feel so alone?
Why in my house, do I not feel at home?
Why is it at work, the day’s end, is never near?
Why in crowd, are the voices so unclear?

Why can no one near me, hear my cries
Why does no one ever notice the tears in my eyes?
Why will no one speak to me, about the past?
Why does this pain inside me, continue to last?

Why do I let people hurt me so? And never ask them why
Why do I not be honest, and broadcast this living lie?
Why do we as humans, expect so much from one another,
Why am I one of nine, yet feel the worlds my Brother.

Why do I sadden so, of News, and War, and life?
Why does every single day conjure up my daily strife?
Why do I struggle constantly, to make it through today?
Because life won’t be so interesting if I’m not there to play.

You have a beautiful spirit and heart David, (one and the same)....sometimes the people around us, especially family, for some odd reason, don't see us for who we really are. And we search for meaning in all the chaos. We search for Truth, and it's not an easy path. We try to give in a world of takers, we hope to understand things which are beyond us. It's so easy to get discouraged when you feel alone in a crowded world.
