Confused Cyst Help

Hi, I have been reading all the recent posts and just joined forum, to see if anyone else is having similar syptoms to me, I have suffered with chronic back pain and sciatica for over 10 years now, I have a degenerative disc disorder. I have had lots of medication, injections, physio and two MRI which showed up a Tarlov Cyst right on the bottom of my spine, diddn't seem to make much difference at first, all my back end was in constant pain and discomfort, but now ! what a difference my buttocks are throbbing in pain all the time and I can't sit or lie flat on my back, I have to lie on my side just to watch tv late at night, I am suffering with a few unpleasant symptoms but the worst is bowel problems, I can hardly leave the house, I went to doctor 2 weeks ago and could hardly speak for crying, I think he thinks my back pain is causing depression, I know its not that, its a different pain all together, it would be good to hear from someone else, just so I know I am not going mad.

Hi Skylark,

Not sure we have the same pain type but my back pain is as if its in knots and just needs to be 'clicked' back into place. I have realised more lately that walking carrying anything or with a handbag on one shoulder my whole back aches, now Im not sure if this is to do with my Tarlov Cyst or other issues I have.

Bowel problems and bladder problems can be as a result of TCs. Im suffer bad bladder issues and my bowel wouldnt be the best. However its for the opposite reason than you mention, I dont move as often as I used to and find it difficult to go until its really ready!

Do you know how big your TC is?

Hope you can get some answers if it is affecting you. Its a difficult road but hope you find relief.
