Hi Scarmandy,

I can't help with your questions but I just wanted to send you a "Welcome" to the NeuroTalk Support Groups.

I was just curious because I have tarlov cyst and have been suffering with severe pain for almost 3 years and just been getting jumped around I was wondering how the surgery when and how long you have until it comes back or does it?

Larry,
I had my surgery November 30, 2010, and I do not expect to have a reoccurrence of my symptoms. It is unknown if my cyst was "pre-existing", but it became symptomatic as a result of trauma to the spine, an impact injury.
My accident occurred on March 10, 2006, and I spent the next several years searching for a "cure". I had been told to "just accept that (you) will never recover from this ...." No, I wouldn't accept that. Slowly, radiologists, neurologists, urologists, and others in the medical community are beginning to accept that Tarlov/perineural cysts are not just an "incidental finding".

Default Question on TC Surgery recovery

I had TC surgery to treat the cysts by Dr. Feigenbaum in 2013. I continue to have high levels of pain due to the nerve treated not healing but instead becoming more and more inflamed. Are there others having similiar experiances?

Hi Bobi J.. I am new to this neurotalk forum. I was wondering if you are still participating, as your last post was in 2012. My MRI is showing 8 cysts.. and I am scheduled for surgery with Dr. Feigenbaum on December 20. I had some questions for you if you wouldn't mind...? thanks

Hi JP,

Did you have your surgery? Were you pleased with the results?

Thank you.
