Confused Tarlov Cysts

Hi, I am new to this forum but have been reading a lot of the past threads. I suffer from Tarlov Cysts on my sacrum, thorasic and cervical spine. I am getting reading to have surgery on the two cysts near my sacrum. Dr. Feigenbaum is doing my surgery on Nov. 6th. I am hoping this will alleviate the pain and burning in my buttocks,, lower back and legs. Has anyone else had surgery?

Hi, I hope you recovering after surgery. Today I went to see Dr. F 1 year after surgery, there is some pain, tingling and numbness in my left buttock, but my MRI did not show new cysts, so that is good. It will take more time to recover, bobij

Thanks for the update on your surgery. I have an 8 mm sacral cyst and am planning surgery after the first of the year. I'm nervous about new cysts occurring and scar tissue building to put pressure back on the nerves negating the cyst surgery.

Have you done anything special in the healing process to help prevent scar tissue? So glad you're still reporting. So many people have surgery and we don't hear from them again!

How are you doing? My surgery is scheduled for Dec 18. Am nervous about recovery and scar tissue.
