Default Stranger Slaps Crying Child In Wal-Mart

http://www.wsbtv.com/news/20682576/detail.html

This was all over the news yesterday. This man took it upon himself to slap a two-year old little girl because she was crying and it annoyed him while he was shopping.

He's in jail now....without bond. He even looks mean.

WHAT is going on in this society of ours??? What would you do if you saw something like this happen?

Unbelievable.

the other day I was at a grocery store with my two kids (6 and 10). They
were parked at the lunchables section and I was shopping a few feet ahead.
I repeatedly said "lets go" and "no, you cant have that junk". A creepy
older guy got right behind them and in a sinister voice(no lie) said"listen
to your mother"., my daughter immediatley came to me and as I was walking
toward my son he got really close to him and said"I said listen to your mother". right in his ear.

I told the man I would take it from there but we were all creeped out!
I talked to the manager but what could they do? I think he was sick
of listening to me maybe. I was glad I was right there but I wonder
how far he would go with two children whose mother may be in the
next aisle.

anyway...Im just surprised that people will do these things. I mean alot
of us have had crying toddlers, imagine if a stranger slapped them 4 times.

I really feel bad for the little kids that are crying, they need to be taken home or at least out to the car for awhile to rest or get calmed down.

The few times my kids did make a scene I left the cart in the store and took them to the car and we decided to calm down or go back home.

I do believe the "momma bear" in me would emerge. I don't know what I'd do in that instant.....but I can tell you with certainty it wouldn't be anything the offending person would be expecting!

You just do not mess with someone else's child.

Sox that is so scary! Good reason to never let your kids out of your sight - regardless of how old they are. Creepy strangers are everywhere. It just takes a second for something to happen.

I know Kel. I was just about 8 ft. from them in the hotdog section(same aisle) and I felt guilty.

My youngest son was having a "fit" in the store once when he was about three years old because I wouldn't buy some new kind of cereal. I had my then 7 year old with me, too. I can remember leaving my half full grocery cart in the middle of the cereal aisle and leaving with both of them. I told him twice then simply walked out with both of them. No spanking, threatening, etc. Once we got to the car my oldest turned to the younger one and said "Well, I hope you're satisfied. We're out of grape juice, ya know." We had a little "talk" and then went back in. My cart was still there!! And we got grape juice!

In a way I'm kinda relieved it happened in a public place with witnesses. If he had been alone with a child there's no telling what he might have done.
