Default I couldnt stand waiting any longer

I wasnt going to start my prednisone taper until morning (would have started it friday evening if Walgreens hadnt been a slug about getting the Rx filled) and I just couldnt take the waiting any longer.

I called the pharmacist and asked how likely it was going to keep me awake tonight. She said pretty likely. I'm already an insomniac anyways, so I figured what the heck...I just had a nice snack of Cherry Orchard Yoplait and my first 6 prednisones. Mmm...num num! (by "num num", I mean "EWWWWWW! gag! YUCKY!")

The pharmacist told me that I should see a difference (if it's going to help) within 24 hours. I cant wait. It's like waiting for Santa to come on Christmas. I really cannot wait for this to work. (I was one of those kids who snooped in the presents when I was little...oh heck, I STILL do that!)

The pharmacist also said that I sounded a bit anxious about taking them, and she thought that if I took them now, I might not feel so stressed out and that maybe I wouldnt be sitting here, not sleeping anyways, all freaked out by the symptoms. I keep imagining that the numbness is getting worse. Not sure if it was or not, but I figure now the steroids will be beating back the MS trolls now.

So, now I'm going to go lay down and see if sleep happens or not. If it doesnt, oh well. At least I've got the prednisone working away now...

From one insomniac to another -- good luck with the 'roids. I hope they begin to do their job quickly and the numbness goes away. Goodnight...maybe!
