Default Is it possible to sprain your tongue?

There's a little glitchy place on my molar, and I keep worrying it with my tongue. I don't know why. I notice I'm doing it and make myself stop, and two minutes later I realize I'm doing it AGAIN! I'm driving myself nuts.

Gotta love a full moon.

Don't worry; you'll be fine. You can even do it in public places and no one will notice unlike other bad habits!

Take an aspirin and don't dance on it, for a couple of days.

Lightbulb

When my magnesium gets low, (like when I take a diuretic tablet which I hate to do but my doctor makes me)...

I can get a muscle spasm at the base of the tongue...it hurts like the devil. If you are getting these sensations with just worrying a toothy thing, I'd consider your electrolytes may be low.
The tongue is just a muscle you know.
