Grin Tomorrow's the day!

Any other Twihards in here? Tomorrow the New Moon movie FINALLY comes out - well, actually it's Friday, but I'm going to the midnight showing on Thursday night. I've already got my ticket bought and everything. DH is going to stay home with the kiddies. He asked if I was just going to go by myself, and I told him I didn't really know anybody else that was a big fan, but that I'm sure I'll meet some like-minded people at the theater!

I'M SO EXCITED!!!! Even if I wasn't into the story, it would be worth it just for the drool-worthy shirtless hunks of man-candy (hyperventilating). OME!

I love the movie too! We haven't went yet, we'll wait for the crowds to die down first. Please let me know what you think!

It was AWESOME! The theater had 5 or 6 screens going, with staggered starting times. Since I had bought tickets online early, I was one of the lucky ones who got into the 12:01 AM showing. It was so fun getting to see it with a house full of excited nuts like me, who were totally into the movie. I really thought someone might pass out or have a coronary when the first shirt came off! There were just these gasps and shrieks coming from all over. I was actually surprised at how many guys were there, since the first one was more of a chick flick, but I'd say at least 1/3 present were male. This one does have amazing action scenes and male rivalry.

Just to top off the evening, I had developed a severe bladder infection and went straight from the theater to the ER. There was NO WAY I was going to miss seeing my movie just because I was peeing blood! I ended up getting kudos from the ER staff for the nastiness of my urine sample and IVantibiotics. I didn't get home until 6 AM. Do I know how to party or what?

I too am not a fan, but am happy that you found something to get excited about. there is nothing better than counting down till a project or event, and having it finally arrive. I hope you had a blast! My cousin went and was out till 3am! I would have been dragged home. I usually wait for the crowds to die before wandering out.

My bf and I went to the afternoon show yesterday. The best part of the movie were the young girls swooning. It was really kind of sweet. Looks like wierwolves (sp?) get all the girls now, vampires are so last year.

Hey Renee! Wassup? If you ever want to go out to lunch or something, I'm kid-free on most Mondays and Thursdays.

I'm taking massive horsepills for the UTI, which seem to be working. I may need to schedule a "bladder lift" since this has been a recurrent issue.

I dragged DH (totally against his will) to see New Moon on Saturday nite with me. He was uncomfortable with all the estrogen at first, but then he got into the story and agreed later that it wasn't *complete* torture. We were late getting there and had to sit on the 2nd row, in the middle of the abovementioned swooning young girls. He was rolling his eyes at all the onscreen shirtlessness. I explained on the way home that this is an integral part of the story, because the werewolves' clothes don't transform with them and they have to carry them around. Also they have a body temp of 108.

Next I have a date to go with my MIL. Can't wait to see what she thinks! She taught middle school for 30 years and just retired, so she should be able to relate to the swooning girls.
