My mom made this cat for me when I was a baby. It's made of wool, so has a few moth chomps here and there. (So what, so do I).

Me, too! The first thing I thought of was turkey stuffing. I must be ready for Thanksgiving dinner!
The cat is cute! My grandmother made my first DS a monkey out of a sock. We still have him!

I had a doll that my mom's youngest brother made for me in a home-ec class. He was probably about 14 or 15 at the time that he made it for me.
It was a simple doll that he had to cut out two pieces of fabric for...then he had to sew the sides together, stuff it, and close the hole at the top where he'd left it open for stuffing the doll. I remember that my mom had to re-sew the top of the doll's head before I could play with it for the first time. I wonder what grade my uncle got on the doll in his class? He'd drawn the face on the doll with a marker, and I think the fabric was pre-printed with the "clothes" already on the doll. I'm not sure if we still have it. It was really thin (probably cheap) cotton fabric, and I got that doll a little over 36 or 37yrs ago...so if I do still have it, it's probably starting to disintigrate now.

I still have a rag doll my Sunday school teacher made for me when I was 3. It's comforting somehow to still have something like that.
