Band Stand! That was the only ABC show we got in our rural area. It came on Saturday mornings at 10. If the weather was perfectly clear and dad turned the big antenna just right we could hear the music and barely see a snowy picture! Always thought D*ck Clark would never age..

My dad's name is Richard. He used to use the 4 letter nickname, but my mom has cured him of that. Apparently he didnt know his name was also considered a vulgar term. Only close family members (his sisters) call him by his childhood name now.
