It's a good thing he didn't ignore it and that he has his own nurse who knew what to do and got him to the ED!

Janie -

My prayers for you and your husband.

I had an ascending aortic dissection in 2004 - main artery tore at the heart requiring open heart surgery. It is amazing what they can do today.

Doctors today are pretty good at this stuff. I'm hoping his surgery goes smoothly. They usually do - they got this heart stuff down pretty good.

Oh yeah - my initial thoughts were MS (extreme lower back pain). I called 911. Don't ever blame MS for everything - I didn't and I'm still alive.

Praying all goes well.
