Default Argh! It's Monday!

We're having a monday problem.

My desk is here, the installer is getting ready to install it and it doesnt look like there's going to be a problem with that. (knock on wood)

There is a problem with my linen cabinet. Designer made it waaaay too big. We're going to have to send it back and have them rebuild it. (hope we dont have to pay for that, we're not the ones who measured it wonky)

The way she designed it, I was going to have 20 inches of space to get into my bathroom. That's a problem. The installer actually said "she's crazy" in reference to the designer when he measured the space. He's suggesting that we send it back, and told me what size he would make it if he was building it from scratch. I said "ok! We'll do that!".

I just hope they dont charge us for their measurement mistake. Especially since my dad and I expressed concerns about the size several times to the designer. She had said they'd cut it down to a smaller size, but even the smaller size she said they'd do it to is too big. I'm going with what the installer suggested.

At least my desk is here, and will be installed mostly pretty soon. Still have to wait for my Corian desktop to be here (they measure for that after the desk is built) and my bookcase comes after the Corian (it gets installed on top of the Corian desktop)

The desk is way bigger than I thought it was going to be! holy cow, it's going to be huge. (I'm wondering if the designer gets paid more depending on the size of the cabinetry she designs?) Just looking at the desk, and seeing how tall it's going to be, and that's before the Corian gets installed, this thing is going to be huge. I hope it doesnt crowd my bedroom too much, but hey...more storage for me, and more space for my computers!

they figured out a solution to the linen cabinet. It WAS going to be two 18in cabinets placed side by side. Which wasnt going to allow much more than 20 inches of clearance between the wall and the cabinet.

So, now it's just going to be one of those 18 inch cabinets, and just to make sure there was plenty of clearance, I took the biggest rollator that my mom owns and walked it into the space. I was able to turn the rollator around in that space and get it into the bathroom and come back out with it.

At least now, the bathroom will be rollator accessible, which makes me feel a lot better. and I've got tons of cabinet space with just the one cabinet. Yay!!

That made me feel better. My mom can get in there if she needs to, and if I ever have to use a rollator, I'll be able to get in there too.

So, now we have an extra cabinet and no where to put it. I have two ideas, but have to wait for my dad to get home to decide where to put it. Either that, or I guess we can send it back, but I think I'd like to use it since we've already paid for it.
