Default Hi: Missed all of you

It has been quite awhile since I have posted anything, also have not been
reading much of the posts lately.

I have been going through a dark emotional problem, which has upset my
ms symptoms also. So with the two hitting me, I just have not cared to do anything. I am starting to feel a little better and have been checking the posts and just reading and not posting.

I have taken on my faith, which has always helped me and with the help of some meds. I am just feeling so lost without my DD being here. She came
for Thanksgiving and her leaving again hit me this time so hard, I didn't know
which way to run. I live very close to DS, but he is so involved with his work
and DDIL that at times I might not see or talk to him for a week.

My DD and I have always been so close. She is also a friend. They have
been trying to sell their place in NJ, but as you know nothing is moving.
What I am worried about is that if they are going to make it through this winter. Her husband is disabled and her business has been very slow. She is
a dog groomer. The cost of living in NJ is so high that it is tough for people that have two working. So with missing her so bad and the fear of her life
situation has got me so down. I wish that I could afford to go to NJ for christmas, but I am counting my pennies like everyone else. My extra money went to help them come to Ky. for thanksgiving.

Sorry to have vented so long, I just had to let it go to the friends that I
know would understand. Hoping that I stay with the posting and just don't give up and stop the contact with all of you.

We missed you!

Have your DD tack up flyers all over town. Diners, parks, town halls, and even Vet waiting rooms! Get her name out there!

Please know that you were missed, and thought of.

Dej. her name is out there. She has had the business for about
18rs. But, the economy has hit all, and people are not bringing in their
dogs until they desperately need to.

It used to be that after the dog was groomed they would set an appointment for the next 4 weeks now it is 8 weeks. Her clientel are mostly
seniors. There are about 10 senior citizen developments in her area. So
they are now holding tight with their money which you can't blame them.

For their property taxes they were exempt because her husband is
100% disabled militarty. Now the township decided that they will only be
exempt on 2 acres and not the 10 which they have always been. A change
in the township rules. They say with the house they live in and 2 acres is
enough to be considered liveable, the rest is just woodlands.
Large increase in taxes and mortgage and everything else has hit hard. I
am scared they may loose everything.

Hi Dear Friend. I'm so glad you came back to talk to us. That's why we are here, Ya know.

I feel so bad for you and your DD. It stinks! I do pray that things will start looking up and soon.

Don't be afraid to tell DS & DDIL, that even though you like to stay as independent as possible that, you could use a little extra closeness right now.

You keep coming here, if just for a few laughs...It sounds like you could use them.

Where are our Christmas pies?

Take care, Pal..

Jappy We missed you! I'm so sorry about your DD's situation. The economy is so bleak for so many. Alot of us are in the same boat. Just scraping by as best we can. This time of the year just seems to make it more noticeable. If I hear "It's The Most Wonderful Time Of The Year" one more time I may just scream!

Sharing your concerns and fears here can help you to feel not so alone and isolated. We understand. And we care. Sometimes just knowing that there are others who can relate to what you're going through makes the burden easier to bear. Please stay with us......we can encourage each other.

Did somebody say, "PIE"??? I didn't know you were a pie-maker!

Jappy, so sorry about your situation and your sadness. Glad you are doing better by degrees. Nice to see you posting -- its good therapy, you know.

I hope you are able to get those pennies saved for some family gatherings.

(((Jappy)))

Your kids will be in my thoughts and prayers. Nothing worse than worrying about your children, is there?

starting tomorrow, the holiday pies, breads and
cakes are on the list to start making. DDIL is helping me (took SalPals advice and asked for help) It will take a couple of days to do.

Will make a special pie for my NT PALS any suggestions?
