Default My husband regifted to the pastor!

I put this on the pear thread as well.

I received this beautiful box of fruit and nuts, and chocolates by Harry David. WONDERFUL! It was tiers of boxes. The bottom one has 6 juicy beautiful pears. the next had apples and so on. I had decided that after church today I would make that pear bread.

We get to church, and as I am unbundling, and fussing, trying to find the envelope with the pastors gift card and so forth, my husband sticks out this box that i knew has the pears in it!!! OMG He mumbled something about the pastor feeding our spirits thru the year, and how we thought he would enjoy this. I almost passed out. I know I must have turned snow white! i shook the man's hand and went to sit down. Once we got settled I asked DH is he lost his pea picking mind!

My husband is a regifter! He thought that I had forgotten to get something for the man, and he didnt want us to be caught with nothing to give. I reminded him that I have a nice envelope with a big gift card for the man. He ducked his head and said "oh" Sheesh Frank.

The pastor doesn't know it's a regift. Could be you liked his idea and are giving fruits. Other people do you know. Or maybe pastor forgets who he gives what. Maybe.

It would be fun if they started listening, huh? Boring, but fun.

Hey at least your husband gives Christmas gifts – after a fashion. The last time my husband bothered to try and buy something, the shelves were bare because some guy in a crown had just walked away with the last jar of frankincense.

Cheers

DH got me an EAR THERMOMETER Christmas Eve Day last minute at Mom and Pop pharmacy I used in Jersey when kids were little. As I tried to return it, Pop raged "I told him it was non-returnable and you wouldn't like it for Christmas" Frankincense would have been better. (what is Frankincense?)

It is an essential oil as is Myrrh. And Gold; we all know what that is. The Wise Men brought these three gifts to the baby Jesus. Interesting how Frankincense and Myrrh were/are used. Click on:

A newborn! A pack of diapers and a casserole sounds like a better present. I guess these men weren't so wise after all.
