I always have mixed feelings about these situations. This child is being taken from the only family he has known for a majority of his life. There are no winners imo.

I too, have been following this story for years and was glad to see father & son reunited. The Father/David never gave up and actually had a good relationship w/his son/Sean. The Mother went to Brazil to visit relatives, divorced David and then died during Sean's birth.

As said, David had made many trips to Brazil and I truly feel the media circus that the Brazilian family put that boy through was totally selfish and just plain wrong.

Moral of the story ~ Never give up...

If they would have given the boy up and let his father have him years ago, it would have been so much better. That was five years ago I believe. The father never gave up and I cannot blame him. I'm glad he has him back and if the media would leave them alone it would be that much better. IMO
