Default Wow...they werent kidding.

They said we were going to have a blizzard. This isnt a blizzard, it's Heck freezing over.

It started to really snow around noon. At that point, we could get out. (went to the store for Dr. Pepper for my mom). The winds picked up after we got home, and the snow is really coming down now.

I cant see my aunt's house across the street, the snow is coming down that heavily. I'm pretty sure my aunt went to my cousin's house for Xmas eve...hopefully she's staying the night there, because there was a drift in her driveway that was hugenormous the last time I was able to see across the street. It's got to be ginormous now.

There's a drift on our front door that's about 7 or 8 inches high on the bottom of the door...and this storm is supposed to last until saturday morning?? If it keeps going at this intensity, our door is going to be half covered by saturday morning.

I hope we have enough chocolate...we're going to be snowed in for quite awhile.

I'm having a bunch of MS stuff getting triggered tonight. I wonder if it's the barometric pressure and the storm setting it off. My left hand is feeling really weird, I've got a heck of a headache, and I just feel really MSish tonight. My left wrist hurts a lot, but that might be because I hurt it when my mom ran me down with her scooter the other day. Hand is more numb than usual.

Really hoping that our power stays on tonight, my dad has ribs cooking in the big crockpot right now. I'm sleeping with my tv on tonight so that if our power goes out, I'll notice the power going out and I'll be able to run upstairs and get my dad to somehow save the ribs...

I have to go figure out how to fit a box of tea, half a bag of Hershey's Miniatures, and a huge bottle of Japanese sake' (rice wine) into my dad's Christmas stocking. I'm thinking I'll put the candy in a ziploc and stuff it into the toe of the stocking, put the tea in after that, and then put the stocking on top of the bottle (stocking will be upside down) and put it on the table.

Hopefully my dad can find his sake' set that my b-in-law sent him from Korea once...

Looks like we've still got power.

Saw a few flickers about 5am just before I went to bed. (stupid insomnia)

It's 930am now, and it's STILL snowing. I dont know how deep the snow is now, but at 5am, just before I went to bed, I looked outside and there was a drift that I'm guessing was at least 4 feet tall or more in front of my neighbor's garage, and it was going up her front steps to her front door.

There was a slightly smaller drift outside my back door.

I'm afraid to look and see how much more massive those have gotten.

I cant sleep anymore, so I guess I'm going to go upstairs and see what kind of goodies I got. I already know what was in my stocking. (stockings are fair game once they're filled) I got a black hills gold watch. (cool!) and a metal water bottle. I'd told my dad I'd wanted a black hills gold watch, and showed him the one I wanted...looks like he got me a nicer one than I'd pointed out.

ok, gotta go see what goodies I got and watch my dad open his new camera up...and see how bad the snow is.

YAY on the watch!

I got my kitchen and bath cleaned! Thanks dd and dd's bf!

Sorry about your weather. We're having a little rain which is fine by me. I get a lot of sx with the weather too, but I can tell if it's weather cuz it really gets bad. Usually the fatigue is the biggest thing and the all-over aches, migraines and stuff like that. I'm down for the count. Right now I have some extra sx just because I'm soooo tired from all the running around, some nerve pain, a little off balance. Nothing like when a storm hits though.

Erin if we could we'd take all your snow! We're going to get rain today - whoopee. We have tons of chocolate (and food) so we can get snowed in!!! Have a Merry Christmas despite the snow.

I dont think I've seen this much snow since I was 6 years old and we had a massive blizzard. (Blizzard of '75)

I was worried about my neighbors, they were all outside shoveling holes out of their driveways so that their visitors could park. One neighbor at least had his son-in-law helping him, but the other guy was by himself doing it, and he kept stopping, and looking at the snow with a "where the hell is all this %^&! coming from???" look of frustration on his face. His son's car is in his driveway now, and hopefully his son will help with the rest. That neighbor also had to shovel the snow off of his heat pump.

Looks like my aunt had to spend the night at my cousin's house, and my cousin brought her home this morning in their van that has 4wheel drive. They had to dig out to get in the driveway.

I called over there after awhile (we cant get out our front door or garage) to see if they were ok, and they let the message go to the machine, so hopefully they were all ok, and they'll call me back a little later. I'm guessing they might have been shellshocked at the amount of snow that's STILL coming down.

My Black Hills gold watch doesnt fit me! My dad said I could take it back for another one, or we could try a different band, but the band that's on it is a special band with Black Hills gold leaves on it...I might just take the watch back and look for another one somewhere else.

My mom bought me an Xbox. Not sure if I'm keeping that. That might be the vertigo I have right now talking, but I'm not sure I'll be able to play video games with that.

I was doing great until we were almost done with opening presents, and all of a sudden the MS Trolls in my head mugged me. (I only had 4hrs of sleep last night)

I think the MS trolls are jealous that they didnt get anything for Xmas. My dad bought us some flashlights from QVC, and the flashlights have this weird smell to them, and I think the smell coming off those flashlights made the MS trolls angry and that's why they mugged me. (it could also be the weather screwing me up...claustrophobia feeling is bugging me)

I also got some binoculars that when I looked thru them, the vertigo slapped me in the face...my dad said if I didnt want those, he's keeping them.

I got what I wanted...the Kindle 2. an iPod touch, and the Stargate Atlantis dvd set. The Xbox is probably getting traded in for something else, or a couple of something elses...(or I'll just let dad take it back and not worry about trading it for something...save him some money)

I'm going to go take a nap...and listen to the text-to-speech reader on my new Kindle.
