Recently I broke with tradition and tried a new deodorant. Switched from Secret solid to Secret "Flawless Touch" -- you turn the dial at the base and the stuff squeezes through some small holes at the top. It calls itself "conditioning solid," but its not really solid like the old stuff.
Well, my hands have lost strength over the past year which makes removing the cap difficult, and also turning the dial is tricky for me. I thought I'd ask my NT friends, "What works for you?" BTW, has anyone ever heard of using Milk of Magnesia (MoM) under your arms? I read that in a newspaper column today!

I've used the fragrance free Ban roll-on for so many years I probably own stock in the company. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. Nobody holds his nose when I walk by, so.
The only drawback is when somebody young (read: granddaughter) visits and happens to see it. "Roll-on? I didn't know they still MADE that!" Hmm, where did I put my mother's little jar of Mum creme deoderant?

B2Y my Mom used Ban roll-on forever. Never knew her to use anything else.
You know Avon used to make a liquid deodorant. I never used it but just remember seeing it in their books. I must be different because I don't sweat much. Even in the summer. In the winter.....when I don't leave the house for days on end.....I rarely ever wear deodorant. I don't like the thought of all those chemicals being absorbed through my skin. And anti-perspirants block your body from releasing sweat. Now, if I'm going out during the summer I will use a deodorant. I just don't sweat that much. I wonder if that's a good thing??

I remember Ban deoderant, we had it at my home when I was a kid. I use Suave, Secret, whatever I have a coupon for. LOL. I'm with Kitty - I don't sweat much so it doesn't really matter what I use.
Kitty - my DD uses a deoderant from the nature store at our grocery store. It doesn't have all those nasty chemicals like propylene glycol and PEG. It has natural ingredients and so far it works for her. It took forever to find one she can use, even the "all natural" ones have those chemicals in it. |

I used secret for years and years, and then...breast cancer. (I am NOT saying deo/anti causes BC!!!) it was just one of the things I chose to do without. When I would go for a mamogram, they would say "no deodarant or anti stuff the AM of" so...got me to thinking. it was a hard switch, and I picked up the crystal rock. It was way more expensive in those days, as it was "new age" or "alternative" and anything with that label then was pricey. it took about a month for it to really kick in on me. I was starting to worry I was a freak or something. I was told it was because of the chemo I was on, later down the road. I have tons of friends that use and love it. it does last about six months. I have the same effectiveness as when i was on secret.
There are a ton of products to chose from out there. check them all out in the store. Pop off the top, roll the dial, see how heavy they are, read the ingredients. Pick a couple for a trial, and then decide for yourself. easy is awesome, but not if it doesnt work.

I envy you ladies who don't produce much sweat. No doubt folks around me when its hot likely think they're standing next to a rain forest, lol!
What? They still make roll-on deod?
