Default I'm so excited!!!!!!!

I am actually taking my grandkids to Disney World!!!!!!! We went to AAA today and made our reservations. We will wait until South Western airlines posts air fare to decide whether to drive or fly. I can't say that the airports themselves would be relaxing but driving from southern Indiana to Orlando with 7 people in the car is even less!

I just flew for the 1st time last year. I WAY prefer it, but then, I didn't have to fly with my grandkid!

Even factoring in the airport it makes my life easier. Takes 16 hrs off my trip. The hardest thing about Orlando airport is driving in/out. The inside is big, but easy to navigate. Way better I think that Detroit - I got so lost there, lol and nody could tell me where to go.

I have been getting tickets through Allegiant for around $70. Cheaper than driving. (That's Toledo to Sanford, no stops)

Good luck and have a blast!

If you are renting a car, they have a shuttle bus that will take you to the car rental agency. Just get your luggage, head to the curb outside, and look for your car rental agency. Each company has their separate spots and will be flying their own colors. Enterprise is Green, and Hertz is yellow/black so, find yours, and report to the driver. He will load your stuff on the bus, and drive you to your car rental spot off site. Door to door! If the bus is full or not there, dont panic, they do return trips every 10 minutes. They normally have at least two to chose from.

Once at the rental place, they have great maps to take you to each and every hotel, or motel in the surrounding area. Its all pretty straight forward. Big huge signs point the way to the different resorts. If you miss your exit, just go to the next one, and turn around, and follow those signs.

I was impressed with how well marked everything was. There are several hotels/resorts that have a bus waiting at the airport for you if you request it. They will shuttle you directly to your hotel, and then you can take the tram to and from most every resort or attraction there. There is a new tram every 5 to 10 mins so no worry if you miss one.

Orlando is great about getting you to and from your destination. Quite professional and friendly about it. They are great about all the kids, and are very accomodating to the handicapped, and elderly as well. A friendly city! Wide doors, busses that lean to the curb so you dont have to climb, and if you are on a scooter (which you can rent) or a wheel chair, you can go up the exit ramp of most rides, and they zip you right on the ride next. No waiting in the hot sun, and being half dead by the time its your turn.

Enjoy!

My daughter-in-law took my 4 year old granddaughter there over Christmas.

They ate with "Cinderella" and got pictures made with "Goofy", "Mickey", "Donald", etal.

My granddaughter told her mother that "It was the best time of my whole life".

Hope that your trip is just as wonderful!!
