The other thing is that I can see & hear it from anywhere in the room. I do not own any of the game toys that stream, so it was worth the $80 and I do not regret it one bit.
Thanks for the info. Does the movie cover all of the screen or is it very narrow with a lot of black on the top or bottom? When I hook up my laptop the movie is very skinny and I prefer the whole screen being used.

I am hesitant to buy the Blue-Ray because Netflix is going to have all of their movies streaming within the next two years and I see the $$$ spent on BR as money down the tube.

The laptop can be used on its own to watch the movies, but it simply doesn't work when putting the movie on the TV even though the movie will run for a while and then shut down. The computer was plugged in the wall, so it is just fluky I guess.

I haven't seen anything from Netflix that is letterboxed.

I have no intention of purchasing a Bluray either, to me, it's just another notch of hype that I don't need (a way to sell a new generation of equipment and sell another round of the same titles). I spoke with Chris at Netflix a couple weeks ago and he told me what you said, they are working toward 100% streaming with a goal of one or two years to completely eliminate the postal part.

I like the ROKU and it's more than adequate for my needs. It's very small, too!
