Default Dreams

For the past several nights I have had dreams of my DDH. Now while this isn't the first time and I wouldn't call it unusual.....these last few dreams have been SO lifelike and real. And I can remember them in vivid detail after I wake up.

Last night he was getting ready to go somewhere and had the car warming up in the driveway. I was getting dressed for something and he came in and asked me if I was going to go with him. I said no but didn't offer an explanation of where I was going.....which was highly unlikely to ever happen. I could tell you in detail what he was wearing. I could even smell his cologne. And what was so strange about it was that I could actually still smell it when I woke up. Now, I do have occasions of smelling things that nobody else does or that aren't even there....but this time there was no mistaking it. I've even smelled it in the garage when I was out there once.

Does anyone else have such vivid dreams and can you recall in detail what they were about? I'm not complaining.....but it seems the day after I have one of these dreams I'm always sort of sad.

That is so nice you were able to spend time together again.

I had a dream awhile back of my friend Lora. We were taking turns rolling down the grass covered hilside near where she lived when we were little kids.

Lora passed away a few years ago of breast cancer and I really miss her laughter.

I told my friend about my dream and she told me Lora was just letting me know she is happy and okay!

Yes, Kelly, I have those dreams of DDH, too. So real, that I call out to him, when I awaken. The dog looks at me, as if I'm nuts and then checks out the front door, just in case.

I think our LDN helps with those vivid dreams.

Yes I had a nightmare two nights ago. I won't go into a lot of detail but in the dream both of my DD's legs were crushed - I woke up shaking. Kelly I can understand you feeling sad the next day after a dream like that but at the same time it must be nice to just be with him again - and smelling his cologne makes the dream all that more real like. (((hugs)))

I too have been having incredibly vivid dreams lately. Someone said that this past full moon the moon was closer to the earth than it had been in decades, and that it was brighter than it had been in decades. dont know if that is it or not, but many in my circle are having deep dreams lately.

Im glad you got to spend a bit of time, even if only dreaming.

Last week, 3 nights in a row, I dreamed of dead ppl. They were people that were dear to me in life. They were very vivid dreams..I almost never dream and if I do its nothing as vivid as these were and I can only remember bits and pieces of them. These bothered me so much I called my sister to tell her about them. Maybe a meaning to them? Yikes!

No dreams (of DDM), but, sometimes I sense her presence. I also believe that, when I play "dinner music" (piano) for elderly residents once a wk at a nsg home, she's there listening. I got my love of music, and love of a diversity of music styles from her.
