Default Music & Memnories

VH1 is on TV in the background and they are having a special on 1-Hit Wonders from the 80's.

I'm hearing some songs I haven't heard in years.

It's funny how hearing a song can take you back in time to a specific time and place. Angel Eyes by The Jeff Healey Band was just on. That was "our song".....or at least the one DDH used to sing to me. He had a good voice.

Aww, Sally. I'm sorry! I didn't mean for it to be a sad thread. But.....I know how you feel. I cried when I listened to Angel Eyes, too.

I can't help but wonder how different my life would be if he were still here.

We'll see them again.

Heaven from Brain Adams does that for me and so does Sea of Love by the Honeydrippers. Jim used to sing them to me and still does.

For old times, the song Free For All by Ted Nugent, Ice Cream Man by Van Halen and Gimme Three Steps by Lynyrd Skynyrd reminds me of all my high school friends on the corner in Cicero. No not that kind of corner. LOL Whenever anyone asked where it was happening it was "The corner."

Oh oh and Pink Floyd, anything Pink Floyd.

I still have some of the albums DDH had from the 70's. And some of the 8-track tapes from the 80's. He had Pink Floyd's The Wall. Had alot of Lynard Skynard and Three Dog Night.

I showed DS22 one of the 8-track tapes......I wish I had gotten a picture of his face!!

Right there with you Sal. My DH and I loved Kenny. Had his songs on the
"Eight Tracks" which were popular then, and would listen as we drove in the
car. At the Veterans Club, everyone would play his songs and dance to the
music.

The one I loved and we danced, at our 27th anniversary too was,
"Through the Years". It seems that all our DH's had good voices and sang
to us.

Also as you said the big question of "WHY" we all had to many good years
left.

I love that song, Jappy. Kenny Rogers has such a good voice.

I think my all time favorite song is by Garth Brooks called The Dance. Here it is if you haven't ever heard it: http://www.veoh.com/browse/videos/ca...e558764b2pwdda

Mascara Alert: It's a tear-jerker.
