Default Snowed In, Anyone??

I sure am. All I see is white out there. It's beautiful but dangerous. DD just called and she hasn't been out yet, but she's like me at that age....nothing would keep me penned in for long.

I did have a big scare, last night, about midnight. The electricity went out for about 30 minutes. After searching for my flashlight and candles, in the dark, I got my cell and called DD. I hung up before she answered, because the lights came back on. Thank you again, Lord.

OK, so how's it going, in your neck of the woods. Are you all safe. I heard that there were outages all over the northeast. I pray it didn't happen to you.

We lucked out here -- just about 5 inches of the white stuff ( although we had freezing rain before it snowed).

Holly posted on FB that they have over 18 inches in Pittsburgh and she has not had power for 12 hours. She was using her cell phone to post, but it is almost out of power too. Temperature in their house is now in the 50s. So keep her in your prayers. It is still snowing there.

My mom lives near Pittsburgh and on the news they are reporting 18-24 inches and 10,000 homes without power. I hope she does not lose power. She lost hers the last time when you lost yours Sally.

Ahhh, once again, some folks will hate this!
It's sunny and bright out, snow is melting, I see a bit of old grass showing near the driveway, birds are chirping and I am having coffee and looking out at kids playing on the ice.

Thanks to those of you who took the hit that we usually would have been buried under. Thanks to a huge high pressure system, I am looking at the weather map and everything is south of us and headed out to sea!

Glad you're safe, Sally. It's been rainy here all night and into this morning. We might get a "flurry" later today but that will be the extent of it.

My sister got over a foot of the stuff. She said the only shovel she could find was one that went to a pail you'd take to the beach! She'll be out there till Spring tryin' to dig herself out with that!!

RW,
I hate you. 8-} 27 inches and still snowing. The storm is swirling round and round and we are so in it until tonight. We had blizzard conditions last night, cars and other stuff in deep drifts. Living on top of a hill with 800 feet driveway. Nobody going anywhere. All public transportation not working. Definately no planes!!!!! Only lost power for a few seconds.

No snow here!

But they are reporting a possible 6 inches on Monday and Tuesday.

Praying for all those snowed in.

no snow here, but WOW its cold! deep freeze stuff. I tried to walk this morn, but the wind was ripping the skin off my face. We are not expecting snow here, but my DM is expecting tons! Since I cant count on bros'/sis to go help her, I paid a neighbor to check on her. Scary stuff in the Carolina's when they get hit. They cant deal with the white stuff like we in the north lands can.

Be safe, warm and dry folks. STAY HOME! we want you all in one peice come Sunday!

We had about 5 or 6 inches of snow on thursday night, friday morning.

Nothing coming today that I know of, but I think our temperatures are supposed to drop like a stone tomorrow and then we'll be getting more snow sunday night or monday, and I think some more snow next week.

We still have snow on the ground from the blizzard we had on Christmas. That stuff isnt going away till spring. I wish it would hurry up and get warm so the snow would melt. It's driving my mom nuts...and she's driving me nuts because she's going nuts with all the snow we keep getting this year.

This is what winters were like here in Nebraska when I was a kid...then we went into a pattern of cold-but-no-snow winters for the last 25 to 30yrs.
