oh PULLLEEESSSE! I am just trying to share the warmth with all of you in the colder parts of the country. :D

Think of basking in the warmth of the sun and listening to the birds chirp away, the wind blowing the trees creating that soft rustling sound that is so calming, seeing the beautiful colors of spring all around you. Mental imagery is so good for you. :p

One thing about summer is we don't have to pay to heat our hot water!

I was at DBF's this past weekend thinking of what to plant in his planter in the backyard. I thinking succulants and lantanas and bougainvillea's. Should look pretty. :p

I love lantanas, no fuss and pretty flowers. My hummingbirds love them too.

I am thinking of adding a few flowering cacti. My neighbor has ones that bloom purple from Spring through Summer. She said she would give me a hunk to stick in the ground.

I also want to plant a few agaves.

This weather makes me want to take a pick and have DH go after the hard dirt to create a hole for plants!

Ah, desert living at its best!

All the windows are open, perfect day.

We think 80 is hot hot hot here. We do 75 and sunny in our neck of the woods. a light breeze, and the smell of honeysuckle on the wind.

That nice weather doesnt last long here tho. :(

Cyn - A few weeks ago, after all that rain, we weeded out the flower bed in DBF's backyard. The soil was moist enough that weeding was so easy. That's where I am going to plant the lantanas and bougainvilleas. I'm also going to put some wild flowers in there as well.

Barb - You are reading this for those nice warm thoughts of spring to help brighten your day.

Kelly - LOL I know you all will be paying me back during the summer. But we have a dry heat. :D

Sally - Head out west. The weather is great right now.

Dej - Oh my goodness! That sounds wonderful. But you too are like us, it doesn't last too long. By the end of March beginning of April he!! begins to set in and lasts until around October/November.:(

Well, I must admit - I'm feeling a bit "guilty" too - it is a BEAUTIFUL, unusual, yet outstanding 83 degrees here. <<Quick....ducking down to avoid snowballs being thrown at me>>

On the downside, the price for this: it will probably rain all of next week. And of course, come August, it's 110 degrees for days/weeks on end.

But for now...my 3.5yo is wondering if we can go to the beach. Sadly, I've been stuck inside working all day :( Waaaaa. See - we don't get "snow days" off here!
