Default Grading papers.

These are actual quotes from my American Government class. The majority of the students in it are first and second year students (college).

"The First Amendment protects the right to free exercise."

"We should have an amendment for a clean, sustainable environment because even homeless people deserve to have a clean house to live in."

OMGoodness! That seriously makes you wonder about our education system. Scary to think, one of those kids may be running our country some day.

I wish you luck on grading the papers. What a daunting task!

wow....

someone didnt study the right materials for their test/homework.

Maybe they need to carry around a Pocket Constitution? (I have one! carry it in my purse. )

and how the heck do you legislate a "clean and stable environment"?? I doubt that's something you could write an amendment for...

I thought of that when I posted but thought that would be too politically charged. Don't want to start that.

I was shocked to realize that our founding fathers cared so deeply about exercise.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry. I'm beside myself when I keep seeing evidence of COLLEGE students without a basic command of the English language, or a clue as to what they're reading.

Don't get me started on the BRB, c u later, KWIM stuff. Grrrr.
