Default Ab Circle Pro, does anyone have this?

I have been thinking about getting an ab circle pro.

http://www.amazon.com/AB-24689-Z-Ab-...6674849&sr=8-1

I have read several reviews for this machine, and it appears to be a love it or hate it thing. Alot of folks said its hard to use, and more than a few said theirs was broken when it was popped out of the box. Some said it did nothing but waste their money, and others said it was very hard to use, hard on the knees, and the only thing they lost was their money.

Does anyone have this? What is your opinion?

ha ha I hurt myself looking at it. Doesn't look very stable, but i dunno. I know a few people that have them. None of them had any major complaints other than sore knees.

I must admit I'd recently been thinking about getting one too Dej.

I had a look at one a few weeks ago but I don't think I could manage it. I doubt I'd be able to get down that low, and even f I did, I'd never be able to get up again.

If you're fairly mobile I think they could be a good idea.

I have been reading reviews on Amazon, HSN, Dicks, and Sams sporting goods. Greater than 75% feel like they wasted their money. At least half reported the machine broke quickly, or was broken in the box. They reported things like the wheel or bearing crumbled, as if it was old stock housed in a hot warehouse. Greater than 50% say the knee cups are uncomfortable, and they either slip out of them, or their knees are painful after just a few short minutes in the machine. Some say they just cant stay stable enough in the knee cups to finish the work out.

Many are complaining that the machine is hard to use, and they are not seeing any real results. They only weight loss they feel is in their wallet.

I think I am going to hold off on this machine. $199 is a lot of money to spend for a machine that better than 75% of folks writing reviews have shown up to say "dont buy this machine" I think I will heed the advice. If I was stronger, more stable with balance, or able to really handle hanging on while my knees slipped out, I may try it, but I am not. A full 15% also say this thing makes their back hurt from the position they are forced to be in for a proper work out.

*sigh* I am disappointed. I really wanted this to be as advertized.

The pictures on Amazon show it to be cracked, would not even consider one.

I noticed a small blurb about this machine in the Feb issue of Consumer Reports. They had 13 panelist test it and only 3 said they would consider buying it. They evaluated the machine, the DVD and nutrition plan that came with it. The diet is so strict anyone would lose weight even if they did not exercise!

I've seen the infomercials and it just looks like it is not made very well.

And it isn't very versatile for anything else..limited use.

found this online-
[There are a number of complaints which I want to summarize here:

1. The knee cushions aren't that comfortable
2. The machine is breakable
3. There is a weight limit for this machine so if you're really heavy, this isn't for you
4. You get more strain on your arms then in your abs
5. The resistance isn't that great. You can't really get an intensive workout out of it.]

I sure would NOT pay 200.00 for something like this.

I usually take reviews with a grain of salt, but 75% disliked it? I would forget about getting anything with reviews like that.

I'm so glad we live in an age where we can read those rviews, aren't you? We used to have to fly blind. Wow, all the junk I bought, not knowing!

My consternation with the ads for all exercise machines is the people they use in the commercials.

Use a heavy person! Use someone who needs to exercise......not the size 2 model or the gym goer who has a six-pack already.

I know they're trying to appeal to the impulse purchaser in all of us. I'm thankful for the written reviews that Amazon and other sites publish. I've gotten to where I Google anything I'm contemplating purchasing just to see what's being said about it.

About the Ab Circle Pro......there's no way I could use it. I'd be stuck on it till someone came home to rescue me!

I saw it demonstrated on HSN with a size 14 model. She jumped right one, and started swinging. She worked for a min, and then said "enough!" complained that it was tough on her tummy muscles, and bragged how much she could feel it.

I am thrilled that we live in the age where folks will go post good and bad reviews. I want to hear from both sides of the fence. I will then throw out both extremes, and find the truth somewhere in the middle. The middle for this machine is, that its cheaply made, easily broken, tough on the knees, back, and customer service from the company is horrible at best. IF I were to get it, I would use Wal-mart/Target type places so I could just return it, without having to pay shipping.

Even the picture to advertise this machine, shows it CRACKED! If they cant even find one that isnt cracked to take a photo of the show off the machine, what does that say?

I have a problem standing for long periods, but I know I can sit, or kneel with more comfort than a solid stand up. I think this looked like so much fun, and it appeared to be a dream come true. This is why I am not normally first in line for most things. I wait for others to test it out, and tell me what they think.

You know if average folks with a decent health level are having problems, someone like me would be in trouble, and wasting my money from the get go.

Maybe I will get an inverson board.
