Default Just need to vent about sisters health problems

We are 18 months apart and dearly love each other. This is the sister that wanted to be a nurse and we were going to be missionary nurses in Africa. OK, this goes way back. Her rebelios son had gotten his window open in the middle of the night to sneak out and as she was trying to find him she fell and broke her foot on many places. This foot has had to be repaired and repaired some more. She eventually had to have some kid of fusion of some of the bones. She was a preschool teacher (not a nurse!) for years and it took it's toll on her knees. So she had to have a total knee replacement. Fall of 2008 she found out she had breast cancer and had reconstructive surgery at the time of her double mastectomy. She got a MRSA infection in the side where she had the cancer and the reconstructive implant had to be completley removed. So another surgery to put it back in when the MRSA was healed. She loves the Y and does silver splash and aqua joints to keep herself limber since that's about all she could do. So then she felt something pop in her knee replacement joint and most of the replacememnt had to be taken out. She became totally loooney with her pain medicene after surgery. Oh, she has fibromyalgia. Finally got all that straightened out and the first day she was cleard to get in the pool again she felll in the locker room after swimming. She continued to fall for about 2 dozen times. So in the midst of all this falling they found out that she has a completeyly torn quadricep muscle connecting to the total knee or what is left of it. She also has 4 fractured toes ahe base of her toes. So she goes in next Tuesday to reattach the quadricep to her femur (I guess that's the right bone). The toes are jsut severely taped. Oh, when the had to repair the knee replcement she got MRSA in that also!

OK, I guess that's it. I just wanted to let it all out. I love her so and she has gone through so much and still has more to go through.

Oh, Doydie! So much for one person to go through. I'll keep her in my prayers for a quick recovery and smooth sailing afterwards. You're a sweet sister to be concerned for her.

Hey Doyd! Wow, your poor Sister has had so much to deal with, but I'm guessing she's a pretty strong lady AND she has you in her corner, which is a major plus.
I have a wonderful Sister too, so know that you are hurting b/c she is hurting. You are lucky to have each other and I will definitely say a prayer that all goes well w/her surgery and recovery.

Sending healing wishes to your Sis and hugs to you...

I went over and gave her a foot rub today. I was glad to do something to make her stay in her recliner a little better.
