Default Got a new cast!

Update!

I had a check up appointment with the Orthopedic Specialist on Thursday, had another XRay and I now have a new plaster cast!

I told the Ortho Doc about the terrible pain I've been having at the base of my thumb (having had lots of fractures I was sure I'd broken the base of my thumb as well) and although she couldn't see a fracture on XRay, she hasn't ruled one out. With that in mind, my thumb's been included in the wrappings this time.

I'm really hoping that this new firmer cast will prevent the broken bits of bone grating together enough to finally get this pain under control. Here's hoping anyway!! It certainly has been a painful fracture..... much more than what I expected!

My next appointment is in another a month's time to get a check up XRay, and if all is well... have the plaster cast removed.

I've included a photo that hubby took earlier in the week because I thought you might like to see the mess I made of myself.
