Default Another Saturday...

Here I is, in another weekend, bored to he!! and sick with something, probable UTI. I'm stuffing crnberry caps and AZO tab to try to nip it in the bud....if not, to the Docs I will go.

I need to do the laundry in the basement, but too skeered to try all that transferring, in my weakened condition.

Wish DH was still here to play. We used to have such fun on the weekends. Bahhhh, this aging alone, with MS sucks the biggest gravel pit.

Most of the time I am quite content with my little life, but not lately. I mean, I've had a great active young life.....I just don't think I'm done yet. Maybe I need an increase in my Prozac doseage.

OK, end of biotch fest, for now. I just needed to say it to my friends here, who understand, 'cause, a lot of you are experiencing the same dang thing.

What are Y'all doing this weekend?

Carry on!!

Sally, I am so sorry that you are feeling down. I know that my mother hates weekends. She says that they go by so slowly. However, she is lucky in that she can still get out. She said that there just isn't much to do on the weekends, other than church. She just started driving this week after her knee replacement surgery. I do worry about retiring and being lonely. I haven't figured out what I am going to do once I retire.

I have had an exciting Saturday thus far. I cleaned out my freezer and threw two bags of food away. Why do I think I am going to eat frozen dinners ( few had use by 2008 dates on them), frozen hamburger buns, or leftovers which were not that great when they were fresh? I also loaded my dishwasher and am doing a load of laundry. Now it is time for a nap.

I hear ya, Sally. I never do much on the weekends and all my favorite week-day TV shows are gone for two days!

In June the weekend Farmer's Market in our little downtown square begins. I love going to that. Every Saturday morning all the local farmers gather in the town square and sell fresh veggies, fruit and homemade goodies. I love going as much for the veggies as the chit-chat.

I hope you feel better soon. I don't know why but everything seems "worse" on the weekends for some reason. What might not bother me on a weekday might really get me upset on a weekend. Why is that???

Expectations? Once weekends seemed special? Now not so much and seem longer.

Hoping your weekend is improving, and that you do not get a full fledged UTI!!

well I worked last night counting inventory then worked 9-3 today... so wiped out... enjoyed the sun with the kids a bit... now just sitting around body spasms galore in pain!! so yep know what you are feeling... and younger wishing that I had less pain to enjoy more kid time and life itself!! ok my vent is over too....

off tomorrow though so sleep in and hit church maybe and then chill... getting some laundry going now to avoid much tomorrow... but with seven of us someone is always doing laundry ... the kids help a LOT with that... hubby too.

huggssssss, sarah

Cyber-hugs to you, Sally. I hear you. Some days I have a really hard time keeping a thankful attitude for what I can STILL do, instead of feeling bad about the things I used to be able to do. A really, really hard time.

I managed to squeeze about fifteen minutes of yard work into a mere three hours. Takes forever...I can't seem to wrap my mind around the idea that one hand is ALWAYS full (cane) so I have to make twice as many trips with half as much energy. and about a tenth as much memory.

Yup. You reminded me again to say thanks for this site and the wonderful, understanding peeps that come here.

Pop over the pond and come help me with the horses if you like.

We're seeding this weekend if there's rain coming too.

To me a weekend is no different than a week day escept I don't have aquatics at the Y on weekends. But I do walk along the river on the weeknds. We are just trying to stay dry this weekend. From tonight through tomorrow evening it is predicted we will have 4 inches of rain!!! We had an inch last night. My Mom has got this intense desire to find out when my Great Grandmother on my Dads side came over to America so I have been searching the free Ellis Island records for any info. Her and her husband came over on the same ship and married as soon as they landed cause there was a wee little bun! Then she wanted another seartch of which I had very little info on but when I looked up her name all of the immigrants were from Peurto Rico or already American citizens except one and she was from Denmark which Aunt Annie was from so I think I made a match. The ship mainifests are so interesting. They even say how many peices of baggage the person had.

Other than that it was watching HGTV and playing Egg buddies on Facebook while I watch TV.

Dear wee Sally, I can relate. I work on the weekends now and it seems that I live to work but that's ok. When I don't work, I sit and rest in my desk chair most of the time.

Just try to figure that you put in your life's work and you have time to sit and rest and visit with your online friends.

Maybe join an online dating site to get some excitement in your life? ... Even if you don't actually date? Just a thought.

Or, call your contruction hunks to come over and do an estimate for some sort of work around the house.

Feel better soon little Sal.

Well, DD turned 6 yesterday. Took her and one of her friends skating. And the amazing part? DH2B (big bad Army man that he is, with the jacked up truck and the cowbow hat) looked so cute one a pair of rollerblades holding DDs hand and teaching her how to skate. He knew there was no way I was putting skates on. Then she went back to her dad's for the weekend and we came home, he worked on truck and I got to run around fetching parts and tools for him. Then went to the gym of course. Spent two hours there and crashed hard when I came home.

Today, i have to go grocery shopping, and pick up DD from her dad.... until then, I will probably do what I have been doing since I got up... Sitting on my butt and playing video games. Unless I find the energy to get into my bathing suit and drive to the local beach... which is tempting, but I don't know that I have the energy.
