Woke up, played some Xbox, Decided it was too pretty to be in the house but too hot to be away from water. DD was at her dads and DH2B was working 10 hours.... I scrounged up some energy and put on my bathing suit and packed a bare minimum bag, and I was off to the beach.

Water was freezing but felt good on the back, and I had my handy dandy blow up chair with drink holders. I had that whole section of beach to myself. Then the rains rolled in and I packed it up and headed home.

Turned out to be a good thing seeing as halfway home the fatigue started setting in, and I was able to get in a nap before I had to pick up DD. And on the way there I get a text message from DH2B letting me know he is getting off 2 hours sooner than we thought and if I wanted to hit the store and pick up some steaks he will grill them. DD and I ran into one of the Fire Dept buddies that I miss dearly.

I came home, helped cook a big ole dinner and we feasted. Then of course it was gym time to try to work off some of this food, now it is night-night time.
But after DH2B working at a new job and being asked to pull a 12 hour shift... Didn't have the heart to tell him I went to the beach and had a ME day.

I love ME ME ME days! they refill my cup. I could use a month of them about now.

isnt it nice when you can slow down and appreciate a good day? I love when that happens.

No worries. my body decided to punish me for it today. AC was broke at phys therapy. Hot muggy day followed by pain with poking my back muscles followed by ice packs caused my temp to drop fast enough to make me leave my breakfast in the parking lot before I left. Been feeling yuck ever since. See what happens when I take a me day?

Well, you could have felt just as yucky without having taken a me day, so I congratulate you for giving yourself that treat, even if you have to pay for it today...
