Default Hope this latest surgery gets my DS's kidney stone!!

DS30 is going in tomorrow...the smashing thingie didn't work; it's still 3.5mm (is that right?). So his urologist is going in (up) to laser the sucker and pull the stone and the stent out. Hope that'll be end of story...

going up WILL remove the stone. Your son may be sore, and a bit tender in his bits for a day or two, but all should resolve nicely after that.

Make sure they tell him if its an oxolate stone or a calcium stone. That way he can change his diet.

GL to your son.

Thanks all...posted on Daily Insights about the long day...he got through it, but was bleeding quite a bit for a time...he'll be okay, though. The doc put a string on the stent so he can pull it out on Monday...as to why he still needs it...he still has several 1mm stones in the kidney and the doc hopes this will flush out in a day or two.
I hate having my babies not well...
He'll have to go on a low-protein, low-sodium diet.
