Default Vacation time: Off to see Middle Son and DIL

Just in case anyone wonders where I disappeared to, I am going with DH on a ten hour road trip, to see our middle guy and his bride. They are married two years now and live in Northern Ohio. She is so sweet, we love her too. We are so happy for them.

I am not sure how long I will be gone, if the weather turns out okay we might stay longer. Wish I was going to get the CCSVI procedure, but alas not yet. There is a long waiting list. (Sigh)

So I'm packed and ready to roll. Pillow and blankie is in the car. GPS talks to my DH. I sleep most of the time, except for potty breaks and food. Penn. is a wide state to cross.

I hope everyone stays well, and see you all soon.
Take care.

Hi All,
I'm back. We had a wonderful time and enjoyed the vacation with lots of family. The weather was really hot so we did early trips to their place, we stayed in a Marriot Inn close to their summer rental.

We had barbeque foods nightly (much cooler at night) and sat by the fire. Yum! Made smores by the campfire. A few sips of the alcohol beverage too. Lol Some days a few trips to town to have lunch or shop. Different stores in Ohio than where we live.

Giant flea market, so we found some nice, bargain goodies. The 10 hour ride was the hardest part. My legs would cramp or my butt would fall asleep. It took me awhile to get them moving so we could take our gas station and potty breaks.

Such a lovely time of the year to travel. Pennsylvania is so beautiful, green trees and farmland. Lots of animals to see and most fields have their crops growing. I slept a lot (my seat goes to fully flat recline) because the ride was so long.

We went in the Inn's heated indoor pool which helped get the leg cramps out late each night. The pool was just the right temperature, not too hot.

It is wonderful to get away, but like Dorothy from "The Wizard of OZ" says, "There's no place like home." It's nice to be back in my own bed.

We would have stayed longer but the weather was going to be rain for the next few days. I wanted to be outdoors as much as possible and that would not be possible.

It was great going on a trip, but as usual, I packed too much stuff. I never wore half of the clothes I took in my case.

Next trip might be to Virginia to see DH's Sister and BIL. We have to save up some money so we can travel again. It gets expensive, but so worth it for a "Mental Health Week". I came home to a stack of mail and bills. (sigh)

I missed everyone here. I have a lot of catching up to do. I hope everyone had a nice, long Memorial Day weekend. I honor those in the military, of all the wars and conflicts, who died so we may have freedom.
