Anybody have experience with battery-run lawn mowers? Black & Decker, Toro, Neuton, whatever? Can you get an extra battery and exchange them yourself for longer mowing time, or do you have to take it somewhere to have the battery changed? Pros and cons?
Help!!

I asked my husband, who works at an equipment sales and rental place. He said get one with more power, such as 36 volt. (They also come in 24 volt.) You can get an extra battery pack, but here in Canada, the pack sells for about $150.00.
Pros: Convenience, no cord, starts up easily. Cons: Might be hard to find a repair place to do the warranty work if a problem arises. Battery packs typically only last a couple of years, depending on climate. Cold and damp is hard on batteries. C |
