Default 911 Call in Manchester CT shooting

Just heard an excerpt from the call the shooter made to 911, and I must say I was impressed with the way the 911 operator handled it. I know, that's their job, and I only heard the little clip broadcast. But I was still impressed.

I just read the transcript. I think the 911 operator did a great job. Too bad the moron who did the shooting didnt try a peaceful way to deal with the alleged racism. Then he might not have killed all those people and ruined the lives of all the survivors, including his own family.

I dont have any sympathy for spree killers. We had one here in Omaha a few years back (the Von Maur shooting) I was almost in that shooting. (was going to take my dad shopping there for stuff for my mom, and we ended up running late and just when we were getting ready to go that's when the news broke about the shooting)

The shooter didnt file one single complaint. He never asked for help. He never pointed out acts, or graphetti left behind anywhere. The company he worked for caught him on camera stealing beer from the truck he drove, and caught him re selling it to others. He had been such a peaceful man that no one hesitated to not have higher security during his exit interview. His union steward (the union president himself represented him) spoke to him at length, and not once did he ever say that he felt harrassed. The union president was the first to die. The same man who was trying to help him. Even if you feel harrassed, does that give you the right to steal? resell the product you are delivering? It has been discovered that he is in quite a bit of financial trouble, and the loss of job without unemp benefits would be devestating to him. (if you are fired you get no benies)

One of those killed is related to my husbands family. We were not close. This man did NOT deserve to die because some dummy got caught stealing!

Why is it that some folks feel their acts can be justified if they throw other junk on the pile? Two wrongs dont make a right.

I am horrified by the callous, calm demeamor of this young man. Even as he spoke calmly to the 911 operator that he wished he could have taken out more of them. btw, this company has a strong track record of ALL employees being treated like family. They have not found a single other employee past or present of that company that has mirrored that sad young mans beliefs.

In his own mind, he truly believed himself to be justified in taking human lives. Had he not been cornered,he would have kept shooting.

I'm so sorry for your family's loss, Dej.

It's so sad that these things happen. Praying for all the families involved and the company.....as they really seemed to be a family-oriented company that truly cared for their employees.
